here are some ideas. item upgrade system, more items, soft reset or reset, switchable character/more characters, more levels, if any of these already are on your list of adding or already in the game thats fine.
@toxo1 i think you can enchant equipment with things that increase your bonuses from monsters. like damage for a curtain kind of monster/boss. so you could enchant every one of your peaces of equipment to have bonus damage for a different type of monster. people can correct me if im wrong. :D (if you did not know the enchantment stuff is in crafting)
@CodeZero did you switch the characters roles before auto equipping because i figured out if you switch a role of one of the workers and you have equipment for there old role you wont be able to equip new equipment for that role.
It will replace equipment for their new job, but it won't unequip things with different skills if there is nothing with its current job skill to replace it. This is so if you manually equip an item with a different skill for the stat bonuses it wont unequip when using auto explore until an item with the job skill becomes available.
Pickaxe modifiers would be cool. The modifiers would add looks and stats on to the picks. It would be kinda like crafting a pick but instead putting a pick into a crafting slot and putting a modifier in with it.
