For easy arena wins, build a deck with strong fire spells and the Phoenix on Air spells. Let fire build to 10 without spending anything, then start spamming the adorable fiery critters. Use cheap units of other schools and healing spells in case something goes wrong. This way, you will also have a powerful fire nuke against the enemy (Inferno, that scales with fire mana).
Text really needs some brushing up. I'm a student of English Lit and work part-time in translation, copy-editing etc. You need to find someone with those skills and fix the English text - if you're interested in having a polished game, that is.
First I used the Buccs to terrorize SE Stickland. As I grew rich from plunder, I discovered a lucrative trade route for silver. I monopolized it, and became a millionaire. Hungry for power, I used my newfound wealth to lead the Buccs against the Enforcers. As Guildmaster of the pirate menace, I led them against the world, and we carved out a kingdom for ourselves. But when the Buccs’ evil nature became clear to me, and I realized what I had done, I knew there was only one way to redeem myself. I quit the Buccs and used all my resources to aid the remaining Enforcers. I climbed their ranks rapidly, leading them to a better world under my command. In the end, after many battles, I managed to undo all the damage I had caused. The Enforcers were back in power, restoring peace and order in the world, the Buccs were forced into the outskirts of lawlessness and the land continued to thrive. The only difference? I now was the most powerful man in the world. And yet nothing had really changed…
Not bad at all! First time I was force to defend, and the enemy seemed to attack with overwhelming force. Second time around I focused on the yellow orbs and now I was the attacker! Nice BOTD.
Finally, I beat the boss. I didn't persist for any other reason other than the badge. It became quite clear that it was a matter of pure luck and painful grinding, so I pressed on. This is not just a bad game. It's a disrespectful one. Disrespectful towards our time, the skill and work of other creators, and the collective intelligence of our race. Sure, the art was nice. But it was clearly not play-tested or was released with the specific intention of ruining fine afternoons. The biggest fault lies with the genius who decided a badge of the day would be a cool idea in this ridiculous game that should have stayed forgotten 5 years ago.
I really want to give this a high grade, but just can't ignore the fact that it is a game. And as a game, it needs solid and enjoyable mechanics, which it lacks. In my opinion, interactivity deduces from the feel and meaning the creator is aiming for. Could have been an excellent short video, but not a game. Still, the artistic effort is commendable :)
