We need a distance check with the auto-targetting. Mining 1 asteroid at 1 side of the system and it targets one all the way over the other side 400km away when there was one 20 km away.
I'd say, to deal with the exp, instead of each skill only have 1 level, have it 2 levels per unit, where the second level you multply by 10 exp to the price. So for +15 health is 15 xp, the second level is 150 xp. With stuff like.. heal level 1, double its potency where originally it was 75 xp, then 750 xp, just as an example. I think that'll work great.
I like it, hoping for more levels in the near future. Level 5 onwards needs a litle bit of thought... it's easier then some other gmes out there, people ust need to broaden their horizons. Also, upgrading towers to level 3 woud be nice. :)
For me, grinding is not a big issue either, but for others it is. Thinking about it a little bit now, i think it might be better to kep it as it is.. mainly because all your characters need to get AP to learn skills too o.O
4. Dunno if it's just me but dreamland makes my CPU fan go crazy from just walking through it... if you can decrease the required resources for that kinda area then peoples computers wont take off :D
5. Levelling - Exping is fine, but if you want to level all characters then you need to do them individually. You need a system where say... for all the xp you get rom killing a monster the rest of your characters that are not in party get at least half unless they are higher levelled then your highest character (in this case Mardek). If that's possible it will take a lot of the griniding hate away making it easier to level.
Just some suggestions if you wanna listen :)

Improvement suggestions:
1. Allow selection of menus through mouse clicking
2. Try to use a file format other then the one it always uses or encrypt it somehow... anyone with an editor for that file can edit everything from exp levels to what items you have in your storage.
3. Warportal - after you get the gold ticket you should be able to just walk over the sea o.O
Great game! I only have the last 2 secret bosses to kill and i'll be all set for the next chapter!

Mardek - level 51, the rest of them i got to level 30ish learnt almost everything :P
It's a slow game... you need to introduce an option of 'sending a wave' or adding the ability to upgrade your units walking speed, increase the promotion rate just that bit. at level 31 i had a fully defended base with high-levelled guns and men, and i died... repeatedly.
Also, if you sell a man, it should be added to the sold pool - as i sold some by accident after ibought the stock out and i couldn't get them back - same with the guns, sold a couple and couldn't get it back, since you can only buy 1 at a time.
Good game, but with those improvements it shouldn't hurt it.
