To all those complaining 'Wah! This game doesn't save my Score or Trophies!' You have to go through the Doors to save your data. It isn't a bug in the game, it's a simple game mechanic. And you press up to go through a door, just in case you forgot!

For people wondering: bunkers reduce the number of people lost. They don't stop the population count from going down. It's a fun game.
