Hitting the Attack button on 2x speed and watching all the Crypt charges spin and the +1s appear above Mana Pools and Gold Mines... so satisfying. Revisiting this game so many years later.
As I mentioned about a week ago, I'm taking this game, giving it grammar, and am writing a book out of it. It has in-depth characters (It follows six, one from each clan), aforementioned correct grammar, and shows how they all react and aspire to find their own way through the Dark Times. If any of you want to read, private message me your gmail and I can share on Google Docs. ^_^ (Battles start slow with the basic format in game, but I get MEGA creative by the Young Mage Contest, where every move is unique and not even turn based anymore).
Is it strange for me to look back and see that I actually got a top comment? Is it even stranger that I have been writing an in-depth story with deep characters that follows six people, one from each clan as they aspire and find their own way through the Dark Times. God dang, I am so weird... :/
Seriously one of the... strangest things I've seen by far. I was just joking when I put Donald Trump in the search bar. Now I'm saying things like 'We're building a wall', and 'I will make America great again'. Lol.
This game has grabbed a hold of me, it's so good. I've earned every Title, played at least thirty times, and still plan on going. I think I have found the most underrated game in all of Kongregate history. This is a hidden gem, and one of the best Turn-Based RPGs I've played. Props to NobStudios. Make a sequel... we believe in you.
Literally one of the best games on Kongregate that I've seen. Unlike many games, I keep coming back, and look forward to doing so. The progression is excellent, and every training minigame is unique in its own way, and make me want to get stronger. The missions during Training drive me to keep going, and eventually I'm a powerhouse. Instant 5/5 from the start. :D
I'm getting the strong feeling that if a bit more content, like aforementioned skill trees, this game would make an excellent online game. Maybe selectable unit types unlocked over time that each have unique abilities. Just a strange thought, and a great game! Hope to see more come from you guys. :D
Dang. Everyone disliked my last comment like I thought the game was bad or something. Sheesh, I actually find this game amazing. I was just confused by the premise. :)
One problem with the Skeleton King's ability. Sometimes his skeletons circle him and, therefore cannot move at all until they all disappear. It's kind of hilarious to see the screen shake when you move around though.
So... this game is a time-loop? You already killed the dragon over and over, but then universe resets and you do it again with all your stuff? So many questions my little hero must be asking.
Me: This is probably a Kingdom Rush clone. *sees specific foundations for towers. Reads tower types*. An extreme lack of creativity? I am NOT surprised. There is honestly no way someone could have made this game without the intention of being the biggest flash game anyone has ever seen in history. I can understand people are beginning to run out of gimmicks other games have already done, but that is no excuse to downright copy a game. That is disrespectful, and a shame to see. I just honestly wish there was a more creative spin to this game.
It's amazing how one stick man holding a sword can be so many different people! This game could have potential with some improvements. 3/5, but I'll stick around for updates.
