Hey I have an idea, lets pop up a captcha while you are fighting stuff and not let you shoot back or do anything while you try to decipher this messed up image. There is no possible way that might interfere with gameplay at all. /sarcasm
This game is probably the best flash music game I have played so far, but it still has a couple of major flaws - the first being the controls, as many have already stated. The second flaw is that if something comes up in real life, like a phone call, and you have to bail mid concert you lose a lot of money and fans. That being said I still give the game 5/5.

I think this game is easily a front runner for the worst game on Kongregate that got a badge.
The boss for level 9 is an epic fail in game design. Floating green orbs that not only absorb your fire but heal the boss - oh and guess what, they pretty much form and impenetrable wall between you and the boss!
I can't even make it past the first level as ranger because the machine gun literally can't hit anything. A rat is attacking the wall and it takes like 3 clips of ammo just to kill him with the cursor directly on top of him.
As near as I can tell this game is actually impossible to beat without continuing just on normal mode. Perhaps it gets easier if you get a lot of medals to stat boost you, but the high hp of attackers combined with low gun damage, terrible accuracy and ridiculous reloading times (longer than it takes a suicide bomber to rush you for many guns). Throw in expensive and ineffective upgrades and very little income, this game is just way too hard.
This game needs: Marathon maps like in previous Protectors, the ability to level up heros in the middle of a map, more usefulness for the poison element, and more maps in general.
Other improvements that would have been nice include the ability to see armor/immunities of waves in advance so you don't have to write them down, memorize or guess to plan out the most useful upgrades. Also some upgrades like quickspell and dexer specializations are almost completely useless and could use some improvement.
Apparently you get lots of experience for losing, and next to none for winning battles. Ironically that is the only thing that makes the game playable, because some of the 1d navy/air only levels are impossible to win without maxed out skills. I played as China and on level 12 the enemy boats ram yours, killing them and take next to no damage... and they have a lot more hp and dps. One enemy boat rammed through 4 of my fully upgraded best available at that level boats in a row and came out unharmed. Absolutely horrible balancing, its a shame because it looks like a lot of work went into the game.
The concept is good, but the execution wasn't that great. Could have benefited from some more creative levels (rather than all survival waves) and a better skill system. Also the listed prices of the potions at the shop is completely wrong.
I really liked the original meatboy, even with the difficult handling the levels were at least designed to be possible... But the expert and impossible levels here that you need to complete for the impossible badge are so poorly designed that it just takes all the fun out of it. There is a difference between difficulty and requiring you to hit your keys with millisecond precise timing for the entire map - then throw in a bit of random luck on top of that for good measure. Even a couple of the hard levels are just so ridiculously off the learning curve that I really can't be bothered to even make an attempt on this impossible badge, because I know I'm going to be flushing days of time down the toilet practicing and memorizing completely worthless and unfun levels.
How exactly are you supposed to survive the wave where there is literally a turret on every other square on the outside? Everytime I get that one I die really quick, there is just nowhere to run to dodge the bullets and there is no way to kill them fast enough.
It seems like the random swaying was just added to make an otherwise easy game frustrating and annoying. This is one of the few games where I really don't feel like trying to complete the hard/impossible badge, I'd rather just go play real Tetris instead.
Would have been an ok (if overdone) stick man sniping game if it weren't for the horrible knife missions. I mean really how hard is it to knife someone when you sneak up behind them, you don't need ridiculous pin point timing you just need accuracy. It makes no sense, and its just plain frustrating.
Great game concept, I really had a lot of fun except in a few of the later levels where the knights became really frustrating. One mistake can easily lose the level for you. The game could also have benefited from some more creative level design, rather than just the same level over and over with the huts in a different place. 4/5
