mcscotschick: Click the X in the upper right hand corner of the instructions menu. It's hard to see because it blends in to the background, but it's there.
I like it. Simple, fun, and slightly addictive. This game works very well without the need of powerups and wouldn't recommend putting any in. I would, however, put in some more levels and bosses. Perhaps secondary colored Tars or Tars with or without special characteristics for higher levels (attract/repel flowers for example?)
I suggest adding on to this. Good job.
If you're doing a 'main' quiz flash game... give me at least 100 questions I can ace of varying difficulties, not 15.
And really, the 5th question is hard to read without putting your face near the screen. (which makes my Screamer sense start to tingle)
Marvelous!
I came in expecting yet another top-view shooter, which would have held my interest for all of ten seconds. Yet, it was the music that caught my attention; and, later, the sheer complexity.
The music mesmerized me throughout its completion, better than the head-banging rock music that tends to creep up in other such games. This, however, was far more enchanting, almost to the point of falling into a hypnotic stance.
The idea of a game with so few extravagances is intriguing, which I would normally approach with extreme hesitation; however, the execution of this minimalist game is nearly flawless. Few games deserve a 5/5, and I would argue that this is one.
My only criticism is in the later levels, where there seems to be some significant lag issues. For me at least, it likes to lag significantly whenever I move the mouse after some time spent in those levels, but flows smoothly when I don't.
Yet, I digress. A great game, and I would like to see more.
A few things.
1. I'll concur that autofire would be very beneficial to this game.
2. Weapon variety. While having doubleshot is nice, some more weapon types or other upgrades would be nice (and preferably not on a timer)
3. Enemy variety. Same enemies level after level with no indication of any boss fights etc. Bosses aren't necessarily needed, but seeing no difference between levels 1-4 save for a background change gave me little motivation to continue.
Otherwise, it was well made and the game design itself was neat.
Just another comment. You may want to reevaluate your difficulty ratings, they seem a bit inconsistent (Halo's Hard rating -8- is higher than Zelda's Medium rating -4- for example, yet Halo's hard is easier than Zelda's medium to do)
Ah, probably the best rythem games I've played here. No sync problems here and has some songs I actually enjoy (Hard thing to do) I will note a couple bugs. I notice if I lose on a song repeatedly, the blocks will be very blured with their respective color as they come down. In addition, sometimes after I complete the same song several times, the game will just sit there after completing it again. Other than those two bugs, this is the first game to hit my favorites, great job. (PS. his was my favorite from the Music Mania collection ^_^)
A nice defense game. It got quite repetitive though, and as mentioned, the upgrades weren't "must haveable" There was an enormous gap prior to level 21 where no new enemies came out, I suggest adding one or two in between, didn't play much past.
I like the fluidity, as mentioned, in this game. At first I thought it was going to be another tetris clone, and it was, but had a nice twist. I will say that you should have either a tutorial section or a non-video how-to. However, once you realize how it works it's simple enough anyhow.
Short and simple. A clear all feature would be nice. Adding levels of complexity would be interesting too, though it'd be difficult to solve with that amount of time and solving 6-7 paint challenges, heheh.
Just another blahze dress-up game; however, I like the feature of the clothing being drawn to the appropriate places, nice touch. Get a star on that alone.
