Enjoying the game so far, but is it necessary for the red upgrade notification to show up every time even a single upgrade becomes available? Could we have an option to disable that? :)
Ok I am confused. 10 jumps in I hit the top and freeze and nothing seems to move me from there. Based on comment it is clearly just me missing something!
Played about an hour or so, game has a great UI and I like the concept of scaling and the various resources. A few things that would make this game great imo are: 1) Achievements 2) Upgrades to your various buildings (as opposed to just upgrading) and 3) The most useful would be when increasing purchase value to 10/50/100 etc - please have the cost of that purchase reflected. Stoked to see if there are more updates!
I am definitely a fan of the structure of the game, but agree the text in the prestige screen still needs to be magnified. Also, I can tell if I can't find one, or none exists, but an auto-advance feature would be really nice to add some longevity to playing the game.
Stoked to see the developer responding to comments! Looks like there has been some cool QOL changes since the it was taken down and put back online. I have a few suggestions for further patches:
1) Allow for upgrades on auto ticks to be either more accessible or have an ascension upgrade - no one wants to have to spam click every time they restart
2) Maybe allow for different types of pulses (no brain expert - but differetiate between serotonin, dopamine etc - allowing for dif types and strs)
There are lots of options with Idle games - but I think this mapping concept is really cool - excited to see how it develops!
Well - as a self admitted idleaholic, I was pretty interested in the game. Early game it is super interesting (even if CPU punishing) - but I echo everyone else's comments here - but day 10/11 this turns into a 'walk away for a few days' grind. I think the devs need to work on the progression and resource walls that exist. Hoping to see patches, has a great base to be developed!
Hi Defactoids! Thank you for trying out IdleHarvest. We really appreciate that you (and others here) are leaving such detailed feedback for us. I totally hear you on the walls that you are hitting, and we are already brainstorming ways we can improve this experience. We are going to patch in some small fixes soon for this. We’re excited to continue hearing from this community on how we can improve our idle game.
By the way, this is a safe space for “Idleaholics” ;)
This game is great - but definitely lacking in tool tips which requires relying on chat rooms for info. An example being explaining whether luck is a persistent buff - or just for the single wave. Ppl seem to agree it is not a temp buff - b/c slow roll does not appear to stick from convert to convert. Frustrating b/c learning how mechanics works slows progress a ton - but that minor criticism aside - great idle game!!!
Pretty solid idle game, but after playing for about a week I have to say it is far too slow a start. In my humble opinion it's because twinning is broken as a concept. As soon as the next bug stage is viable that upgrade no longer has merit (unless I misunderstand it) - so you basically turn off the notification and move on. So love the game design and the various stages of bugs etc, but with the way upgrading stands it doesn't feel like something that will hold interest very long.
I guess I can only repeat what I have seen in existing comments. Game speed is a bit slow - and you hit a huge grind wall at lvl 19-21 where you just have to keep dieing to bosses to attempt to upgrade units.
Only about 3 hours into it but I can definitely see how the p2w component gets real with the necessity of gold. Honestly I think the entire concept of the game is great - but gold shouldn't be involved in multipliers for units - removes all achievable progression. I see the developers have replied and seem to be aware of the issue, but then again the responses came 6 weeks ago and it is clearly still happening.
In Short - great game with a built in shelf life - worth playing for 4ish hours.
Well we did address the issue in a few ways already and will continue tweaking things. But it's a long progress as we have to tweak things little by little to not break the experience. Especially with a small team.
As far as trainer upgrades go - this IMO is a quite misunderstood "concept“, as essentially it does what time warp does (and is fine in all games), but much more efficient if used in the "right" situations. For example, when time between deploys gets long, it can be super cheap/cost effective, especially if most of the progress depends on a small number of units.
It's definitely not designed as a "money grabbing" element, but as something that offers variety of gold spend and can make your spending it much more efficient at times.
Thanks for the well-thought out feedback - I hope we can make it enjoyable for you for more than 4 hours with future updates we are working on :)
I find the game incredibly enjoyable in terms of an easy UI, decent music, skills and challenges. But unfortunately I have to echo what everyone else does - everywhere you turn to do something in the game you require money or endless day grinding for gems. It's a shame the Dev's needed to attach it to everything.
Seemed like a standard idle game with some cool aesthetics, but maybe too much so. Even on a decent gaming computer I get brower lag and delay (chrome or firefox). Maybe worth another look later in development.
Hey Defactoids, thank you for playing and for sharing your feedback with us. Wrote it down. We're still making improvements to the game and we'll definitely keep this in mind. Enjoy the game, and have a lovely weekend.
Great game! Hopefully we will get to see more bosses in the future! I Also think it would be neat to see further purchasable upgrades that modify your main weapon. Overall super happy with it as the arcade shooter it is! Thanks Developer :)
At first I found the game slow, then I found it the perfect idle game, then slow again, then Island came and its fun again! Great idle game. Probably my only complaint is Devs don't listen to comments - everyone dislikes the event with the ridiculous take forever spin wheel :P
Thank you for the reply! Second question, is there any way to increase stamina gain? (Sorry if these are obvious, but figured this is the place to ask)
Could someone explain what Morale is and where we can see it?
I think a huge improvement to this game would be a tab to see current stats (gold % gain etc). Otherwise I have been really enjoying it. Great idle game while killing time.
Excellent mini game. The item and leveling system was rewarding. I share other sentiments where at first it appeared really easy, but quickly needed to use the help function to get over the tougher levels. Great job!!
