Geez, the de-equipping after rest is madness and punitive. Why not just put on your old gear, whatever you had equipped?
It's almost a good game but the balance is off a little. Nothing big but the above... that's so frustrating and irritating that it makes the game near unplayable.
The menu opens up when going to rest or transforming, when turning to human form if you have the vinewood wand it will auto equip, still working on fixing the sharp claws to auto equip. Hope this helps.
I like this game; old school, little help. A little bit of drag, mostly on movement, though...
However, can the Warlock please have a staff of some kind, seeing as how he appears to be carrying one?
Beyond that, I'd love to see the skills developed a bit more... a little more diversity and development paths. Maybe even some customization.
Question... if I don't talk to Elewyn (or whatever) until after defeating the first incarnation of Moric then she doesn't give me the lapis lily. So, is there another way to get it or is that it?
I'd like to suggest the "heretic" option.
Pledge devotion to a God but explicitly break the law ONLY after achieving the third rank.
My suggestion is that in so doing, you lose said bonus as per normal BUT you gain some random benefit... something specialized and random. Might be worth it, might not be.
Also, I'd like to suggest a secret god who only shows up IF you partake in specific behavior that is not made explicit. Then the god shows himself.
A lot of potential.
I think most of the weakness derives from the fact that it's in development, but here are my thoughts:
1. Difficulty really ramps up around level 20. Could have been 5 more bosses.
2. Would like to see each character have an equipment screen.
3. The scaling of some of the skills is curious. Little benefit to be had maxing many. Maybe a bonus be offered for maxing the skill... perhaps a synergy with other skills?!?
4. I'd really, really like to see another magic category...
5. I'd also suggest a new gear bonus for time threshold... in other words, once you defeat a boss quickly enough, you gain a small chance of gaining a new piece of gear for the "insane" level version.
Perhaps a 1% chance for beating the normal version plus a 2% after beating the brutal quickly enough.
6. I'd also suggest spreading out the acquired magic skills or adding a couple more because we get them all right away and then no new magic appears, or at least it hasn't for me at level 32.
This game worked beautifully until suddenly, it didn't.
Now, whenever I start or try to continue a game, it already has powerups onscreen and then suddenly everything goes crazy and the level ends.
Anyone else have this problem?
Thank you for getting in touch. Bosses only have guaranteed chests if it is the first time you've ever killed them (there will be a chest on the mini-map.) Afterwards, they have a chance to drop a chest the first time you kill them that soft reset.
I'd love to play this game but it won't let me type in a name. I can click on the box that says "enter name" and it clears it but then it doesn't accept any characters.
If I just click "create" without typing a name, it tells that I'm trying to use verboten characters.
