This game seems unfinished for me but at the same time i cant stop repeating history and survival to improve omg

Why does the level up feels useless?
Battles vs beetle
Lv1 he does me 3 dmg per hit
Lv 2 he does me 2 dmg per hit
Lv 3 he does me 2 dmg per hit
Lv 4 he does me 2 dmg per hit
Lv 5 he does me 2 dmg per hit
Lv 6 he does me 2 dmg per hit
My defense went up in 5 but he´s still doing me the same dmg... no sense
A tip for those who want to read all the lore (Lv 20 grind) return to the last dungeon and in the end there is a old man that gives you 100exp for 500coins
Why a simple game of pc make me feel like im playing throught the story of a final fantasy(?)
