I enjoyed the play through I had with the original numbers. The new set was frustrating but it may just have been me failing to adapt to the new rules. Very cool game. It'd be fun with some old school finally fantasy style sprites.
Only major complaint is that the servers seem to be down quite often. The game is fun and pretty. The mechanics of Pay 2 Win are done very nicely. I have spent some dollars and usually I only spend a couple to support but this one caught me and I spent more than I wanted to. I say that's a success for this type of game.
I am really enjoying it and think there is good potential. I could see this getting a graphical overhaul once all the math is worked out. This could easily become a phone game in the app store.
I agree with the graphic part. If I managed to iron out all the other things I consider to make at least little icons for the different ships.
Well at first there has to be way more content. More ships more systems and modules.
It's also planned to have a system that allows to build your own ships.
Like you pick a hull and choose different modules like weapons shield generators and so on.
The current ship blueprints are already prepared for that option.
Using some type of symbol on the card to show which cards it effects in the grid would be helpful. Maybe blue for positive effect and red for negative. This would let you get into more complex interactions without making the player go crazy.
Did you try refreshing the page or ctrl+F5? I can't reproduce this on any browser. But I will keep it in mind and look for answers why some players can't load the game successfully.
We were inspired by our other game, Crusaders of the Lost Idols, but we also learned from it, and improved on it for Idle Champions, so you will notice the differences after playing both games.
