For badgehunters: it takes almost as long to level from 1 to 10 as it does from 11 to 12. You'll probably want to just want to skip the medium badge, as you'll undoubtedly get sick of this 'game' before.
At this point, we ought to just report these completely unhinged cash grabbers that have zero actual content and balancing. I was sooo happy when I heard that Kongregate was "coming back", but when you see games like these get badges, you start to consider that maybe it should have stayed dead..
To the devs: you definitely ought to give a massive apology to everyone who has been deceived by your numerous delays on the update. This is the Trump version of a game; promises and teasers galore, and nothing happened. I refuse to believe that I'm the only one who has reached the end of the game (Merchants guild level 32), and I haven't played that much. You promised everyone that it would have been launched at mid May, then late May, and now you're telling us that you "... are hesitant to give a firm date..."?
At the current state, I'll bet that at least 90% of the people who play this won't have fun and will feel like it becomes a chore with ZERO reward in a matter of days. I would recommend any other idle game before this, and I suggest that everyone who feels like they've wasted their time on a quarter of a real game rates this farce one star.
I'm really sorry you feel this way, Desmer and I understand where you are coming from. We never intended to deceive you with the dates we set. All 3 of us have been working as much as we possibly can to get this patch out. Frankly, we over-scoped a bit with the features, and rather than cut them, we decided to push the date out so we can finish them to the quality we want to bring you! Since we couldn't hit our last date, we didn't want to even generally promise another until we know for sure we can make that deadline. We understand if our players move away from Idle Harvest since there is currently an end to the content, but we really hope you check back when we do patch.
I know I must seem incredibly butthurt to come back to this, but for over two weeks I've had nothing to do but upgrade the Marchant Guild. Which means that I've basically logged in 2-3 times a day to change crops, and occasionally ending the day and autoclicking my way to a new setup whenever I run out of green gems to boost the current MG run.
Hey Desmer69! Thanks for taking the time to leave us two comments. I hear your concerns around our development cycle and how Idle Harvest still feels incomplete, so I figured I should address where we are at - We're overwhelmed by the positive response to Idle Harvest, which made us slow down and take our time as we add more content. We want our updates to be as good, if not better, than what is already released. This update is slow because there is a lot of content going in to it - we are adding game-play to the mid and late game, multiple systems being added, and we want to add more content to current systems. We know this is a longer release schedule than normal for Kongregate, but we are confident it is making for a better product. We are really grateful for all of your patience.
@Griffon, while I also applaud Tetro for replying to comments and such, the game in its current state gets boring (as in, real boring) once you get to the mid-game. I played since the first week, and there are a ton of basic idle game mechanics that have yet to be implemented (let's not forget that the idle genre has existed on Kong for over a decade). Not to mention how all of the characters tease about things coming in future updates, and they've delayed their very first expansion for over a month. The current news is "hopefully by the end of May".
Until then, it is a very basic and (at best) mediocre idle game. Does it have potential? No doubt. But in its current state, nobody should spend real money on it.
First of all, this was uploaded back in 2017. The 1 year old Youtube walkthroughs are proof of that. And second, this is FAR from being good enough to reupload. I have been a fan of Esthetix for years and years and have played all of your games multiple times, and this game offers nothing more than three usable objects (knife for carving the pumpkin, tape to fix the wires and the bell to scare the bat) and three 'puzzles', most of which are solved in less than ten seconds. Based on your other work, this game is IMO a 3-star game, but I'm rating it 1 because you chose to reupload one of your shortest and worst games to date.
That moment when ALL of the 'best' comments complain about the game being broken due to poor coding, and it still gets badged... and then you realise that this isn't even close to being a new low for Kongregate.
This might have been intuitive for most, but I didn't realise that you could simply hold down the mouse button rather than mashing it. Just thought I'd let anyone who's as dumb as me know :)
@Frozenshardgames, about your reply to Islansadi about the "market strategy". I love how you completely ignored his point and shamelessly decided to justify your complete and utter CRAP games by going "we don't have the budget to make innovative, original content, so we'll just copy paste the same boring mechanics and change the *theme* a little. That's totally not scamming". I'll do my best to remember your company name so that in the future, I won't have to waste time on a P2W fest made by people with no morals. One last thing; stop paying Kongregate to badge your games - they aren't badgeworthy and it's rather obvious from the comments that a game that realistically has a rating of 1-2 stars should never be considered for such.
I'm playing on firefox and I'm experiencing no trouble whatsoever. I think the game is pretty decent, and the with the upgrades in the making, the game has potential to be played for a lot longer than 20 minutes.
@dr3adnic, come back in a week or two when you reach the pay wall. It's immensive, and your climb comes to an abrupt full stop. Once you've reached said wall, playing in the arena for gold and sh*t stops being an option, as P2W players solely armed with 5-star legendaries are becoming your only opponents. Most likely because everyone else who hit the pay wall simply quit, and the only people left at those leagues are P2W'ers.
Guys, if you want sh*t games like these to pop up constantly, there's but one option; DO. NOT. PLAY. THEM! Don't go for the badges, simply rate it one star like everyone else and stay away. We can only hope that KongregEAte will get the message this time...
In my opinion, the new cow placement "update" is horrific. The old, "static" way was waaaay less complicated, although I'd personally prefer a simple pop-up window with the 3 options (Farm, Well and Homestead).
@Rallik, I beat 4-4 by shooting the explosives, and then instantly switch to molotov and shoot the two baddies emerging from their hideout. When you're out, switch to the pocket knives (I think?) and keep blasting them. When you're also out of those, swap to the rifle and clean up.
I've played this game a lot over the years, and I mean A LOT. It's IMO the single best card game I've ever played, and so much more versatile than others in the genre such as Hearthstone, TES and now the new DOTA card game. It has, however, taken me a poop load of time to almost have all of the heroes at lvl 28 and every single coin type. Maybe you ought to up the silver gains on the single player missions, so that new players will become more attrachted to WoO (gotta love that abreviation). To get veteran players such as myself back into this game, I'd like some more, and more balanced, campaign missions for all of the factions. I really like this game, and I hope to see it sprout back, even though it might take some developement time.
Can I just say "WOW!". I started the game whilst having my Xbox controller connected, and it automatically worked with functioning visuals (X for inventory, Y for quests and so on). Even more impressive is that it feels incredibly intuitive to play this game with a controller.
