Fun game, but if you happen to be the one person who needs to continue for any reason, you're sadly sol. Browser/flash crashed? Sorry. Power outage? Um well sucks to be you. Please make a save/continue function, thanks!
Well, that is an apt description of the game. Short due to losing in 3 seconds. Not sure if Andu390 is trying to troll us or rather, have no concept of game balance. The biggest issue is there's really no defensive option so the perfectly efficient computer with enhanced speed just makes short work of you. I tried to find some redeeming qualities but I imagine the developer is just chuckling to himself..."problem?"
At any rate I had to glitch the game to beat the comp.
Great start on your first escape game, but might I suggest a few things?
1. Create a simple background story on why we are trapped.
2. Show witty descriptions when you mouse over items. It makes the game more interesting.
3. Keep it logical but make it more complex.
4. And of course having a link to a walk-through.
These four things will put you on the right path for making a great escape game!
I think most people that are saying it's too hard or it needs balancing might not understand the risk vs rewards feature. It took me a couple times then it dawned on me what I was doing wrong. It's perfectly balanced, we just need to analyze the map and figure out what resource is worth going for and what to stay away from.
Fresh perspective of the turn-based tactical RPG, but I would add a few things to polish. Puzzles, Traps, Chests, Keys, Items, Equipment. The story is fine, but those six features would make this epic. Of course a more extensive skill system.
Jeez guys, tough critics here.
Lets see. It's obvious that some people never drove the older cargo vans. You access the engine from INSIDE the van. The handle on the hammer could be rotted and have limited usage. The magnet is low density so the fishing bob will make it float.
The developer wasn't trying to make the game logically perfect but you do have rudimentary puzzles to figure out--given the limitations.
Seems like a very decent game. Unfortunately I lost all of my saved games and was close to completing it. Not sure if it's a bug. One other thing: few logistic bugs--superior element not mitigating the damage from the inferior element. Magic Shield reducing the effectiveness of heal all (and possibly all other beneficial spells). Should set the flag to harmful spells only. A few other minor issues but overall very well done!
Irony always rears it's burning head at times, and as you would know, Krax ends up being one of the easiest boss for a Psionic to defeat?
To be fair: the crown of course helps but despite the intrepidation factor of the death watch skill, the combos the earlier bosses possess are by far more brutal than this end one.
Goes to show you that Krax wouldn't even rank without that skill. 5/5 For its decency. =}
I really wanted to rate this between 4-5 but I ended up giving it a 1 for a serious design flaw. The elite skeletons aren't hard but if you go full mage you can't ever kill one. You simply do not have enough of a mana pool. Otherwise nice first attempt.
Honestly, while this game is interesting, there seems to be some collision detection/hitbox issues. Particularly with the chainsaw. (goes right through bodies with no damage registering)
With that said, your best weapon hands down is the bow. Damage just under the magnum, and fast reload. I think ConArtists made it so, to be vastly underestimated.
Decent overall tho.
