I loved this game! It is creative and original. I really enjoy the use of mythological and mundane animals as characters, and the bridging fantasy and sci-fi themes together. Wentworth is also a likable character (which is hard to find in games, surprising as it sounds) and that really helped me enjoy the game. No gruff, grizzled, gung-ho or cocky attitudes need apply. It's just charming, humorous and innocuous.
I really hate the stat differences for men and women, as if somehow men and women aren't equal or incapable of the limitations of their gender in some way over another.
Enjoyable, and surprisingly so from a Western theme. Would like some lady characters, though. And, as others have pointed out here, it would be nice to have the status effects/special skills applied passively, perhaps, to the character. As it is, trying to choose between more damage or a skill is just too difficult to progress through the waves. Many of the skills you choose from are less effective without any damage output anyway. :)
My favorite flash game ever now has a sequel that has greatly improved on the original! I love it! That said, there were times in the game where it seemed like the women were most disenfranchised and exploited (like the prostitutes for moral only being women for the men to partake in) in such a setting. In real post-apoc/zombie/world-ending, I am certain everyone would be exploited to various degrees, men and women being sold, and gender disparity gap would lessen, rather than pop culture's view that only women would be victimized or exploited for only men's heteronormative needs. Those little gender role bits aside, Rebuild's still my favorite flash game (series). :)
Brilliant game! I love that it has the various difficulty level choices, and city grid choices, and the multiple ways of solving/winning the game, and that you can continue playing it even after winning. Thank you for making such an engrossing and entertaining game!
Jay did his research staying true to the mythology. It was fun going for the fairy tale look for a change. :)
