There seems to be an issue where if a monster can hurt me I can't hurt it and if I can hurt it it can't hurt me. If you get stuck in the same space as a monster it can kill you in a second because it attack attack attack attacks repeatedly and you're incapable of hurting it at that point.
... I got my knotted string before I tied my string across the cleft... and... now I can't use it because it's not in my inventory. So I have to completely restart the game to finish it. :(
in game we have a knotted string and a rope - it should be enough for everyone :-) And as Myo says: "This string is too thin to be of any practical use when crossing this crack..."
DoctorAutopsy: I know, but I chose a new class for my new character and it still created a duplicate of the other save file, even when I chose a class, typed the name and then re-selected the class to make absolutely sure it was selected it, it mis-saved and I had to re-type all my awesome, yet really long names and then hope that it saved correctly
... screw that... why did it waste 4 of my slots, one I didn't even try to create a character in? I wanted to make one of each class, but I can't because four of them got wasted... that is if there wasn't delete character, thank goodness for that little invention
... uhm... why did two of my save slots get wasted for characters that I haven't even started playing yet and aren't the right class but have the right name? two of them are a replica of my level 8 theif, except with the name I wanted to give the new character... -_-
GAH now they finally add achievements after I've already spent like an entire day completing the entire thing! GAH I'm only playing it until I can get the card this time
I wish there was some form of shielding upgrade so it wasn't just instant death, especially on the last level, it was really really annoying to keep dieing from just being hit once.
I completely agree that there needs to be arrows between the little areas, I didn't realise that there was more than one area to Castaway Beach until I was level 5 and I accidentally went from the first area to the second after I'd been wondering where these imaginary Sand Snakes were that I had a quest for, for about ten minutes...
