i fully approve of the new update. even after having considered the cooldown for playing a given level it still allows me to play the game constantly. the excessive grind at higher levels was also a big problem that got fixed and im glad to see myself actually get a substantial amount of xp from mobs even if it means less from the actual levels. the increased drop rate of items and gold is nice but the item rate might be a bit high (i got 3 of the sameweapon in 1 run of a gauntlet mission). overall the update was about as good as you can get without adding new content and knowing thatll be coming by the time i need it i upped my rating from 4/5 to 5/5
1 star because even higher end computers suffer a frame rate drop in the late game there are no instructions (had to read turantuls comment) and even then the basic idea is just a bad ripoff of an older game done by notch for an older ludum dare contest (if i remember correctly) if someone wants to play a good version of this google "breaking the tower" by notch its exactly like this except higher quality
the english wasnt great from the beginning but i literally burst into laughter upon killing an enemy and seeing "enemy powned" appear in red letters accross my screen
i feel like the online aspect just added lots of grinding while removing the awesome godly units we saw back in 3 (which was the best imo) and youve just been moving backwards since then with this zoomed in emphasis on the commander approach
besides what other people have said the inability to gain hp from buying armor once you have astral can be somewhat of a setback, mabye you could continue to buy equiment once you hav the max and just get astral+1, astral+2 etc, increasing in price and stats according to a some formula. aditionally the game is fairly heavily based on luck atm, perhaps you could make it a branching path instead of a strait one, where you can go up or down depending on how high your cursor is this way there would be an added tactic of decided which shops you run past instead of being limited solely by money.
why do i keep hiring advertisers when my gun is free? on a related note can guns cost something to make if u make a 3rd? i mean u could get thru the whole game selling guns for $100...
the high hp/low weapon damage combined with the lack of a "hit marker" makes the game feel very unresponsive, especially when firing across the field from the sniping positions early on when people are still buying things. all we need is a simply little hit marker...
I thought the lack of an ability to move in a FPS was a major downfall. Personally I think this game was incredibly unimpressive considering the only strength it has is its grpahics which you can attribute to their use of the Unity player, which makes it easy to put a game like this in a browser. I was still blown away to see something like this on a game site like kong, but this isnt technicaly a flash game so when you compare it to if someone had put a Java based game up on here it wouldnt be nearly as impressive.
ads aren't so bad but saving on another site ruins it. as for gameplay you need to either remove the insurance system or allow the player to choose what battles they play next.
this is a rly nice game but im very dissapointed its 3rd on th site... its not THAT great, itll get pounded into the dirt as soon as sonny 3 comes out i suppose
