Rileyrulesu, the problem with your analysis with this game is that it seems you are comparing it to every other game out there. It's like comparing a Table Tennis game to a Tower Defense game. They are very, VERY different and should in NO way be compared. Your major points seem to be the graphics aren't great, the gameplay isn't great, and that it has no backstory. However, if you think any of these things matter, then you missed the entire point of the game. The game attempts to get you to look at not only how you are playing the game, but living your life. It's a metaphor for life. Are you living your life how you want to, or how others tell you you should? As a game, I'll agree it isn't too great. However, I wouldn't say this really is a game, but an interactive story. The story it shows and lets you play out is excellent, and I applaud you, Alexander, for the best story I have had the honor to experience in a long while.
Half, if not more, of the levels are based on complete luck and tons of timing. Plus, like has been said, this genre has been done too many times to count. With nothing new to offer besides the luck and timing aspects, this game doesn't entertain for very long. 1/5
Might just be my comp but the controls seemed really laggy. I'd hit jump and it would take a few seconds to jump. Made it really hard to do anything with precision. Since I think it might just be my comp with that problem, I gave it 4/5. Simple design, pretty fun, looked nice, but didn't really seem to have much of a point, if you get what I mean.
I don't know about you guys, but I had to switch the skin just to do harmful things. I couldn't bring myself to hurt my little buddy! Of course, when my little buddy looks like Bush, that's a whole other story.
The last level (for those of you who have trouble with it) is insanely hard. With a good deal of luck though you will ba able to conplete it. For me, I beat it and since then have tried for about 35-40 minutes trying to replicate it. Your shots have to be INSANELY well placed in order to make the bottom level collapse.
Basically, this was supposed to be a type of encouragement. If you can't beat the last level, just keep trying. Hopefully Lady Luck will be at your side! :)
Also, it's amazing how i do really good one the ones that are around the world, but almost every single one in the US i am always way off. Except for the obvious ones like Boston, of course.
4 Strikes in a row:
Beirut, Faroe Islands, Berlin, Bern.
Good thing I read Killobyte for Beirut, got lucky for Faroe Islands, and have taken four years of German for the other two. :D
FRANTASTIC GAME! (do u c wut i did thar?)
Anyway, I thought this game was awesome. After you get the hang of it it isn't necessarily hard, just hard to NOT get hit. I completed the last five or six levels with only one life, but i got hit a lot and used the health regaining shield a few times. Still, I thought it was an extremely fun game. 20/5
If you guys need to find the boss, do what I did. Just keep going right (east) out of the bubble-battleground-thing. If you keep going one direction, you find him faster than if you switched off.
4/5
Corny ending, gameplay can get a bit repetitive, but still a great game. Last boss was kinda easy i thought, but other people seem to have trouble with him, so I think it is perfect. All in all, this is a very fun game.
