The AI of the Zombies did not age well, but the game is still stable. This is what you get when you are competent at your job, unlike some Triple A studios...
Wasn't really expecting much from a game named "Rawr". Almost expected a few "XD" thrown in, I am thankful that it it didn't happen. But what I got wasn't really worth it.
When comparing to the original game, this "sequel" is dwarfed by Necronomicon. Too many cards were nerfed (Dark young charge did 14+ arcane damage, Essence healed 9 health, Dark Ritual did 10+ arcane damage then healed 3), a lot of new mechanics were added (The tomes were meant to be used once and not to be in constant play. Characters? Neat, but no. Attackers and Defenders? Those stats are a "tad" off. Locations? Ok, but why tho?) The new and old card arts mesh in a bad way. It just doesn't look right, they're not as gritty and surreal as they are in the old game. Overall: a lack-luster sequel to a legendary game. (One final note: Why was Shub-Niggurath changed from the best summon-able creature for 8 sanity, to a Great old one that has to be summoned by playing 3-4 dark star cards [which never works out]? T___T)
Yeah... everybody just forget about the "king.com" links, they lead to "Royalgames.com" and it's garbage. So all the exclusive stuff is gone. Sad really, but all good things must come to an end. But even without those lost things, this game is still a great piece of art. Props to Berzerk Studio for this amazing game.
So I finished with rank of "Sifter", and was told "You must end with a rank of 'Sifter' to receive reward" Well then... Aside from that, very fun and entertaining game. Not very many games can handle sniping quite like the Sift Heads series. Great work!
As much as I am with the several others on the subject of "Either make it free or remove it", here is some actual opinions on game play:
A level cap to force my gladiator into a boss battle? D*ck move. Forcing a a minimum level to purchase weapons and armor? Even bigger d*ck move. Easiest route is put every point to intellect and be a mage. Focus on Armor and spells for your purchases. Is it just me or are the second, third, and fourth boss OP? Those three could kill you in like six turns... REMINDER THAT ARMOR HAS A MINIMUM LEVEL TO PURCHASE AND WHAT YOU NEED IS ALWAYS OUT OF REACH! Now onto the battles in the arena: T_____T
Apply the recharge time and equip limit for spells. I don't have enough fingers to count how many times they cast the same spell twice the turn after they already used it. And finally: MAKE THE WHOLE THING MORE STABLE!!! I understand that this is a flash game, but still... this is just sad. I'm sure EA could do a better jobs at satisfying me with a "free" game.
At first, I thought that my machine was slow... then I changed the quality to low. No, my machine isn't the problem... It's Roy casually jogging in a low gravity/friction environment. I feel though this game wasn't fully polished before being uploaded, but you can see that some effort was put into it. (Also that LOOPING MUSIC got old by the 3 minute mark of me playing the game. I'm sorry, but it sucks.)
