The gold system needs some rebalancing, I find myself with 5-10X the power and troop numbers of a nation but I still need to wait 4-5 hours to build up the gold needed to attack.
This game badly needs a hard mode. Past level 20+ is incredibly easy, most of the time. Mutators would be good Example: (Enemies have more health, more enemies spawn, adds additional boss, increase boss speed and health)
Nice game, good updated enemy augmentations keep enemies fresh.
But I have a few issues I'd like to bring up.
Why is there no gun shop? I have to solely rely on finding weapons and the chance that they'll be better than my current one? I've levelled 6 times and not found a single weapon yet.
Augmentations cannot be removed from weapons for experimentation and switching it up a bit.
Money is practically useless, besides buying ammo and grenades.
Despite saying it's perfectly possible to find chest greater than molybdenum, I haven't found anything as such. In 20+ games so far.
Point resets for 30 kreds? Are you serious?
Fix those and you'll have a very good game on your hands, til then, 3/5.
Money is mainly used for upgrading Augments on your weapons/gear. They get rather pricey at the higher levels, while at the lower levels it may seem like money isn't good for anything you will soon be running low on money once the better augment upgrades start to come through. We wanted to steer away from gun shops as we didn't want people to focus so much on their gameplay revolving around the things in the shop.
More features will be added to keep the game fresh and exciting so there is a lot more to look forward to in the future for SAS4!
The first boss alone is incredibly frustrating. This game is not so much difficult as it is punishing, difficulty would imply we can get good enough to overcome it.
The first boss gives you about a tenth of a second to jump and then double jump. Enemies hug you and you're helpless, leads to grinding with the respawn system.
