I just got 998, and I'm dying inside. 90% of hitting 1000 for the hard badge is luck. Stay toward the center of the tunnel so you can transition between instances more easily. When you hit the turns, hit them harder than you think you can.

Pro Tip: It feels really clean when you do it right, and it's all about timing. Sort of like a rhythm game. Good luck!
For anyone just starting, as you reach characters throughout the map you will unlock powerups that make the gameplay easier. If you go below the queen you can view a map of the hive to see which you still need to unlock, and which rooms you have yet to view. P = Powerups, C = Honeycombs.
I unlocked the powerups in this order: https://i.paste.pics/8f3e4106c4084b1cc8614183389f0159.png
Double Jump -> Dash -> Wall Jump -> +1 Action
Pro Tip 1) wall jump acts as a jump and a turn, so you can save 1 action point if you plan ahead.
Pro Tip 2) get closer to the fire, there are a lot of dash jumps that you won't make if you're afraid of getting burned.
when i log back in my armor is all unequipped and my progress gets kicked back. it keeps prompting me with tutorial windows to teach me how to navigate the game whenever i log back in, which just froze the game.
Finally got the hard badge. Sprint on, automatic fire on. Push yourself against the red wall and follow the outside of the map either clockwise or counter clockwise. As you are rotating around the map, aim in front of your character to block spawns. If you run into a larger group, switch directions and keep moving. If you have large groups on both sides, move to the closest corner and wait to clear some mobs. Pay attention to your experience bar when you can, if you level up you regen your lives and boost your weapon upgrade. Once you get the orbs that circle you, you can afford to collide with some spawning enemies, not large groups, just sparse ones. Good luck!
If I play my unit with 2 attack damage, it will only take 5 turns to kill the enemy commander! Okay, I have my team, my strongest unit has 3 attack damage and my healthiest unit has 8 health! Let's do battle, surely we will win many bouts! ... Oh, they just spawned a unit that does 11 damage, has 19 health, clones itself, and the clone has 10 damage and 18 health, and they both have a 1 turn delay. So, I am going to lose next turn, no matter what I do. :') Maybe I can spend money on video games to be good at them like everyone else.
What is this occult mage doing with an AoE spell that they cast super fast to just clear my units? Brehhhh 32 stars and I can't make any progress with this infinihealth occults XD.
Should be a hard or an impossible badge tbh. The difficulty ramp from lvl 4 recommended to level 5 recommended is massive. I would expect if you played this game every day it might take you about a month to get this badge because you have to play every part of the game to get mid-end game units to complete it.
There's the paywall. Thousands if not tens of thousands of gold to upgrade your hero's equipment for marginal gains. And, to upgrade their stats you will most certainly buy supplies with gold, and speed up the upgrades with gold. That's unfortunate.
I am level 14, for example, and I am losing to level 3 and level 4 missions for the medium badge with units I got from chests I still can't build on my own.
TheRealPip was kind of harsh, but he isn't wrong. I have like 50-60 hours of gameplay with years of idle progression, and I still don't have the medium badge. I have less than 10% of the content unlocked, and most of the mechanics you have in place are self defeating. Positive note, you have a ton of features, and had you balanced the game properly it might have been enjoyable. I'm 21/40 on the medium badge for anyone wondering what 3 years of afk progress gets you.
