I see no reason that we should not be able to click the tiles along the bottom to select which number to place. It just means you have to plan backwards and then try remember where you were going to put them.
I find it irritating that I have to wait for the colour to spread before making my next move. Especially how the spread of the colour takes longer for the last few turns, which are the easiest.
A nice little puzzler. The amount of shots given to get three stars may be too many though, I was often able to complete levels in one shot when I was given 4 or 5 shots for a 3 star score.
How to achieve PONG PWNER on insane: You need to try get as many powerups as possible early, if you can get 2 ammo upgrades you're sorted. The larger paddle one is really good too, this may require a certain amount of luck. When it gets really crazy you just need to keep going over and back while shooting. That's how I got 98% anyways :) Good luck!
