Don't play unless you have a friend to play with. The AI knows exactly when to jump to get it into your goal 100% of the time. I seriously spent hours on endless mode and got 734-0 in the AI's favor.
I don't really like the Run games. Very few of the deaths feel like they were my fault, that I could have done it differently to survive, instead they feel unfair, caused by nothing but the poor level design forcing me down a certain path. All of the "difficult" levels require nothing but trial and error to find a path without impassable pits, while the far and few fair levels are actually quite exhilarating.
As a general rule, if you are currently on solid ground, there is a way to beat the level from where you are. None of the levels become unwinnable just because you were forced down one path instead of another. This is true regardless of character, and the only exceptions would be if you dislodged too many crumbling tiles too early (and usually not even then).
In the description, it says "Ten minutes of joy, followed by hours of frustration and boredom." Is that ten minutes when you make the game? Because if it is, that may be the source of your problem.
I ran into a bug where when you would press play all of your ship's weapons would disappear, and rebuying them would be pointless because they would disappear again every time. 1/5.
Maybe survivors with higher combat stats could raise survival chances if your search party is spotted. Having one of my search party members die every day is really annoying.
My game company, Pre-production phase of a medium project- "Hey, Tim! Me and the other guys had this awesome idea while you were away! It's where-" "Nope! Scrap it! We can't use it because I was eating while you had the idea."
