Dude, if you just clicked where the weapon went it wouldn't have any challenge at all. Learn to aim, it's really, really easy. Secondly, the shield is a rank 3 upgrade. That means you only have to play 10 games, with 1 win....I have beat rank 8 players with a brand spanking new character before. Just learn to play, it makes it more fun. Thirdly, you set the starting population, as well as the starting funds, when you create a game. No one has any more or less population than you, so no one cares how much population you got. Have fun, quit whining.
