The value to health progression in the materials is sexily well managed, dev. Good job! Now if only this defense stat didn't complicate my spreadsheet... :D

You lost one point for using a pen instead of anything based on graphite on the table with the phone. Those who have beaten the game or read the walkthrough know what I mean. The Skinner Box (think that still counts as a skinner box) puzzle with the "student" is brilliant even if sadistic. The interaction with the phones is brilliant, too, if a bit hard to follow. Perhaps provide assurance that player can't miss the cues for the second half during the first half of that. Also upvoted libbysquib's comment - I frequently turn on such features because my eyes just suck anyway, and certainly the captions for important sounds was useful.
So, you lost two points for needlessly obtuse jumping sections. Much of it was great, but those parts not so much.

And so we come to the point where I stop gushing and file a gripe or two. I have exactly two. First: Whatever rustled in the classroom, I missed it entirely. I don't know if there's a visual but I would have liked to have seen it. Second: The 5 kilograms was an effort in frustration and pixel-hunting - the bane of any good point and click adventure since forever (the mound escaped me); I think the puzzle there was a good idea and not at all wrong, but making the components more clearly "there is something about this you need to take note of) would go a long way. (I actually thought the last segment there was the old toys.) If there was a use for the plushie, I missed it with mild disappointment. [2/2 comments]
5/5 for atmosphere, consistent style, showing that you've wrestled with the nature of sleep and nightmares, and what appears to have been a light jab at Japanese culture. Also for a few small things. "There's a key in the bucket. There's always a key in the bucket." was entertaining; it took me a moment's pause when I stepped out of the elevator looking at it and realized that it started downstairs. And, as people have already said, the eyes on that mount was a nice touch - as is the guy from last game hiding (if you played and missed him, he's entertaining to hunt out). Whatever rustled in the classroom scared me nigh half to death. [1/2 Comments]

Yo', dev, you should link "google Acta" to the google query. http://www.google.com/search?q=ACTA

Reminds me of xGenStudios' "Motherload". Has potential to be just as good; needs work - save engine, improve engine, create sequel? 5/5 (4/5 for game itself, 1/5 to beg for an even better sequel)
