The bug that makes it impossible to move or jump makes it extremely frustrating to get the final achievement. Wish I could specify how the bug happens, but it just appears to be random. Your jump just fails.
Great game. I loved how fast you moved when you used your jets, and how fast you shot when you got the super blaster. Most games wuss out and make you "dash" only like twice as fast as your walking speed. Great controls, great characters, great way to spend twenty minutes or so. 4/5, just because it's a little short and not very groundbreaking.
The ship moves way too slow, especially with how fast enemy bullets move. Bullets should be made more noticeable (see: bigger and brighter). The sound is abysmal, work on getting music and actual sounds, as opposed to what sounds like corrupted clips of someone blowing in the mic. And don't ask for a rating. Ever. Also, take the slut from the title screen. Sexploitation makes you a lamer.
It was nice. Thank you for disclaiming that this "is a game that you may not consider to be a game." Art is wonderful, as long as someone's goal is to make art and not a game.
The controls are awful, especially for what this game wants you to do. If it weren't for the corner flip, this game would be unplayable. Still, the idea is really cool. 3/5 for good ideas but bad execution.
Good start. The animation was nice, you don't often see animated sprites on new games. "Move this circle around to get this item" is usually what comes out. =P The movement could have been a little faster, though. Also, killing the game by going left on level 2 is a huge letdown. 2/5 for a solid beginning. Let's see Platformer Peril 2!
Haha, obviously a first game, to which I applaud you taking interest in game design (I might dare to say "at such a young age."). Good luck with future endeavors!
Very interesting idea, but the game could use some meat. Your initial goal is to get the ball past the opponent, but then after that, you don't have any other goals. 3/5
Fun, nice visuals and sounds. It's a great basis for a bigger game. For instance, there's only four possible spots on the ground that the balls will land on, and once you've played for a little, you can move there without really thinking about it. More drop layouts, moving platforms, or "Don't catch these!" would help make it more fun, and encourage people to play it for longer. 2/5 for room for improvement, but definitely solid groundwork.
The pace is nuts! I liked the addition of the brake button. I didn't like jerk big faces eating all of my faces. Also didn't like dying at the end?
I'm tempted to suggest quickening your movement, or slowing enemies down, but I like a challenge. So perhaps just less inertia?
3/5
Simple and fun for a few minutes. It suffers, however, from lack of something to make it difficult as you continue on. At 100,000 points, you're still doing what you were doing at 30.
