I wouldn't mind if Conquest had a "random" setting for each of the options.

@Rusty410: Conquest (the random map generator) allows you to select from nine starting town variants for each map, and it's rare for there not to be at least one that's viable for a given map, even on "Unfair" difficulty.

@Mr_E_Man_239: The inspiration for both Konkr and Antiyoy was an earlier game called Slay.

The basic idea is okay, though the extreme level of the fiddliness detracts from the fun.

@marsrover2: The zombify option for conquest levels is new, in addition to what they said in their last blog post (as linked in the game).

@Candraedra: I'd add there that while conquest maps aren't designed with a specific solution, it's also rare that you'll have no chance to win one. You're placed by the same algorithm as everyone else and get your choice of nine variations on it to avoid starting in an unwinnable spot.

@F1zzy76: The similarity is due to both this and Antiyoy being inspired by an earlier game called Slay.

@Micro102: They will *vaguely* work together against a big threat, but it's balanced against them wanting to take opportunities wherever they can. There's never a complete peace. I agree they start to take more risks if they run out of other opportunities.

@Muffimonkey: You could consider that to be part of the "rivals surrender" option, where they've given up hope of challenging you. If it makes you feel any better, you can simply pass turns until your former ally inevitably decides it's time to attack.

@Jaxrim4: As the help says in the "Rivals" section, every rival looks after their own interests first, no matter how much they like you. They play to win, they'll take revenge if you've hurt them before, and they'll team up against a dominant force (including you if you're playing on hard mode).

@Thatar: It's inspired by Slay, but definitely more than just a one-to-one copy.

@fretninjitsu: You don't need a villager on a gold mine if it's clear and already under your control, but just like normal land, you won't receive its income if there's a bandit on that space.

@smolkakyoin: As we're told in the "Rivals" section of the in-game, everyone is in it for themselves. If you don't provoke them, your rivals may focus on others first, but don't expect them to ignore an easy opening or an obvious threat. They act petty and selfish, much like real people.

The "D-Day" level in the Mapmaker's Archipelago feels like a less sadistically-demanding version of Focaccia.

Had fun underground, then flew 8000m into the sky to find some extra fun.

I don't think there's really anything wrong on the player side of things, since even without cleaning cookies or doing anything except reloading later, it can pick up just fine. It's more like intermittent issues on the server side of things.

@mario_light: While you can't directly capture the isolated kingdom in Lazania, you should get a surrender once you dominate the rest of the map. I'm not sure why the extra needs to be there in the first place, though.
