This game seriously needs a way to reduce graphical load, epecially now that it depends on Ruffle to play. Trying to have more than 2 screens has such lag it's not even funny.
The fact that everything basically pauses when you click away from the screen, especially runes with their insanely long timers, even if you keep the window open in the background, basically makes this game mindbendingly frustrating. Why not let the idle game idle?
Having to start from scratch to get to tier one was almost soulbreaking. Three days straight of grinding to get to where I could survive without constant supervision, erased in a single click. I would have understood a downgrade, but complete erasure of all progress? You're just making me play the game from the beginning again....
With the amount of active focus this game needs combined with the amount of work you need in order to unlock things, I feel like allowing a slightly higher amount of resource gain with the 'auto restart' feature would be ok. Maybe -60% rather than -80%? Also, I have yet to earn a single ultimate cube resource. When and how do you get these? Instructions unclear.
Also, there are too many ridiculously tight bottlenecks. Nothing should come down to one resource like it does at many stages of the game. Lunarite becomes so important, you can't make enough of it at some points. The energy system is barely functional as well, since you can't keep up with the demands.
I have always disliked the concept of having to spend ALL of a certain resource to... make a larger storage for that resource. It both makes no sense and just serves to drag out a game that is already based on waiting.
Pets are available right from the start. If you _paragon_ level 12 (not Character level 12), I'm amazed you've made it this far without using them. Or you're misunderstanding what a Pet is. Pet is the secondary portrait, to the right of your Character portrait - click it.
I feel like the game has grown too complex as you level up more and more. I unlocked a lot of things in the beginning, and could see a path to unlocking more, but as I've played, it's gotten more and more confusing as to what needs to be done next. Some of the new classes feel unattainable except for the most knowledgeable of players (which I guess fits the whole 'wizard' concept :P). After returning, I'm finding I can't even use some of the summons I had already unlocked. The game really shouldn't need someone to type up a separate web page just to get some concept of what to do next.
The game is indeed complex, but I wouldn't say I feel like meta until late T2 and T3 classes is that complex. Not sure what you mean by summons in this case. Pets? Summon spells? We didn't change any requirements, rather only reduced some. Spells are limited to classes, I can only assume you're using a different one.
No save, super long times for anything to progress. Extreme costs. This game doesn't even remember progress with a local save so I can move away from it for a while. Who do they think is wanting this to sit in the background for days on end, sucking up resources on their computer?
The sudden difficulty spike ruins this entire thing. I do well enough, get randomized stuff... then die to a team that is both overpowered and has one more enemy than I have team members. Plus I then have to watch the whole introductory speech thing again and again.
What is the deal with no sound controls and extremely loud, ear piercing sounds every time a unit is made? Why would you design it to make such loud noises, but give no control over how loud it is?
..... I gained BP before I started 'playing'. The text advances so fast I have no idea what is happening, or why. I'm not even involved in this game; it's literally playing itself while I type this, with ZERO interaction from me. It doesn't even require me to press a button for it to advance! xD Who the actual HELL thought this was a good idea for a game on Kong, or at all!?! I want the ability to rate a game in the negatives just fore this game. -5 out of five stars.
If you had told me games like this still existed before seeing this, I would have thought you were lying. This game is such a braindead money sucking leech its beyond understanding. Auto combat, repetitive, boring leveling, doesn't allow you to AFK or go to another page without instantly pausing, everything they expect you to pay for is in the $50 or more range, with the high end being 30,000 kreds (If you are spending this much on a 'free' game, no matter your income of free money, seek help; you probably have some kind of addiction). I'm kinda disgusted that Kong is allowing these kinds of games on their site, or that they exist at all anymore. No change at all in over 35+ years.
I hired an extra gnome today, and it was supposed to last for 7 days. I JUST USED IT. And now it's gone. What happened, and how do I get my gems back if it's glitched?
Since this is an idle game, I should be able to just let it run in the background, and not have it focused on in order for it to progress. But instead, it has this 'you have been offline for X minutes; XX number of monsters killed' thing that pops up and repeats itself over and over until you're unable to click the button, and are forced to reload the page to continue playing. Worse, t usually quickly reaches the point of zero monsters being killed in the given time interval. This is amazingly stupid, and limits the ability to just work on ranking up without literally staring at bars going down and numbers counting. Either make the game more engaging (and thus not really an idle game), or allow players to let it idle.
Also, please add an offline save option, in case of online errors or data loss. In games like this, it's pretty much a requirement. I'd hate to play this long, then log out for the night, only to have all my data vanish.
There are a few too many delaying debuffs in the game that associate with HP. If you're going to give debuffs, make them something that can be played with, not something that can completely ruin a run, especially in the shard dream realm, where you loose your gold investment and waste time because of them. The poison debuff that drains you to death is ridiculous and pointless if it's basically a guaranteed kill. The duration ensures no one who gets hit with it who isn't almost all HP will survive til it expires, and herbs aren't always on the maps it can appear on.
