@zero8793: If you were a customer and the item you wanted wasn't there, but the owner offered you a different item, but then asked you to pay more for the suggested item than you were willing to pay for the original, would you buy the item?
However, i think you should be able to sell/buy an item at the original suggested price if a haggle fails.
