I had a really in-depth critique of this, but then I discovered there's a character limit; in short:
speed upgrades break game, make AI limit player movement more
score builds too slow, add scaling with upgrades or checkpoints
only 5 enemies gets repetitive and boring, need more
menu button can be pressed accidentally, add a delay to the trigger
score locks are cool, maybe make other milestone locks
It's a good start to a game, it reminds me of Bubble Tanks, but the lack of variance in the patterns doesn't reward players for improving beyond the final upgrades. If you keep working on it I would be very interested to see what you do.
Oh boi, I like how you didn't say anything about the camera hehe :P. To be honest I'm really new to creating games, so I'm still learning alot everyday and constructive comments aid in that process immensly. So thank you for giving your opinion! Some of it will definately be considered in the making of my next game :)
As a musician, this game really makes me appreciate sheet music (not really the game's fault, the switching perspective each note just doesn't agree with me). Regardless, is a cool game with good music, good job.
At game 3 I felt that Bob had outstayed his welcome, and now he has gotten 4 more games and I want him to continue forever and become some legend on the internet. Great job.
suggestion to appeal more to difficulty seeking audience: add some sort of optional challenge integrated into the levels, like the hidden stars in the Snail Bob series
Great game that reminded me of Skyrim. I suggest nerfing the car with a damage gauge though, it is just too o.p. And the "vanishing-UI" makes everything except the weapon box and car speedometer disappear. I look forward to the next update.
whichever version you can crash into (it happened to me w/ the pink circle), it was horrible watching the it bounce around afterward after my thousands of previous attempts. But it did get rid of my rage, so it wasn't all bad.
Oh... never had that happen to me (except in Last Square Standing, where it can happen to basically anything in the game :P). Will keep an eye out for issue like that in future releases (I no longer have this base file since I cleaned out my computer :( )
Which version? There's two completely different versions of the level 7 dialogue, depending on whether or not you got the pink circle in all the previous levels or not. ;)
changing colors=good, flashing colors=better, +music=5/5
if you add a shop have the currency be either time spent (idle style) or # of color "cycles"
and be able to up color change speed and colors in cycle
P.S. if you add music have background lights that flash with the beat
P.S.S. this is what i think it should be like when it's finished, take as much time as you need
