@SilverClaws123: look at archerbob's comments. They're full of rants without any hints about what is allegedly wrong. Maybe some of them are justified but to me, archerbob has been trolling for years.
Can we get the cow back in the shop please? Currently, the blue one is available for rubies but the regular one, that costs only shells, is missing, and I'm locked out of the Ancient Temple restoration quest (Emerald #15). Thanks in advance!
@del41438966_8577: to see the developer's high scores, click on your stars count on the bottom right (it's a "View stats" button), then hover over a level bubble to check the five stats.
@AznDudeIsOn: it depends on the time you've spent. The first time I've played Beam Ball, reaching 3k was indeed way more difficult than reaching 120 stars. However, now that I'm hooked, scoring 3k points feels like a breeze but I still struggle to get the third star on a couple of levels. ;-)
@samuwla: Fortunately, there is a workaround for this situation. When the enemy and you are no longer in each other's sight, the enemy doesn't go away anymore, which allows you to come closer by putting a wall between your target and you. For example, if the mob is fleeing towards the north with an open straight line of 6 tiles between you and him, and if there is a wall on the north side of the north-east tile (tile #1) next to you, just move on this tile. The enemy is now no longer in your sight. Then move on the north-west tile of tile #1. The open straight line is back, and there is only 5 tiles between you and the mob. Rinse and repeat as needed and, with a bit of pratice, you'll even be able to drive the escaping mobs in the direction of hazardous spots, just by positioning you smartly. Good luck! :-)
@zer0nix: please see https://rogue-fable-iii.fandom.com/wiki/Critical There are lots of tips on the whole site. Basically, any attack has a random chance of being a critical hit but you can't increase the probability by dumping points in stats or skills. Each point of stealth grants +5% damage on a critical hit. Only physical attacks can result in a critical hits, not elemental ones. If you play a mage and want to consistently land critical hits, use a staff of magic missiles (physical damage) or lure the enemies into hazardous spots (water doubles electric damage, oil, grass and wines probably increase fire damage, unstable spots are a guaranteed critical hit when dealing physical damage --> https://rogue-fable-iii.fandom.com/wiki/Unstable ). Berserk and Deadeye talents also grant critical hits on each melee or ranged attack for a limited time. The downside is the 250 turns cooldown.
@AggelosM57: corrosive slimes downgrade melee weapons that hit them until they're unenchanted. I'm not sure whether it's a random chance or a 100% one since I kill these slimes with range weapons or spells.
I agree that the tutorial is not clear at all and if I hadn't read the rulebook first, I would have been left in the dark. On the other hand, the said rulebook is really informative and I felt prepared at the end of it. I think a picture is missing in the "Slide Lily" part though, since there is already the caption/describing text. The game looks interesting and I will give it a chance. :-)
@neurofreak: in D18, the colors swap randomly when you hit a beam with the ball under the mouse cursor and they always swap when you clear a line with the other one.
You can still outsmart Flash's killswitch, at least for the moment and for Chrome/Windows 10: deactivate the auto-update of your computer's date and time, set it before the 12th of January, alllow Flash to run by clicking on the lock next to the URL, reload the page then choose "Execute Flash this time" on the banner popping at the top of the page and claiming that Flash is obsolete. Enjoy while it lasts/until Supernova is ready to work. :-)
@Rain King: "Draining" reduces or stops your HP and MP regen. "Marked" may inform enemies of your location or make them deal extra damage. I'm not sure of this one since the effects of "Marked" don't seem consistent.
@jhonsmith3485: you get the meat as random drops or from wishing wells, like everything else, and within the merchant's items pool. Each merchant comes with some meat and, according to the Wiki, meat is also guaranteed to spawn every four floors, along with a guaranteed merchant on the 9th floor. So you will be able to grab some food at least five times, on floors 4, 8, 9, 12 and 16. Just carefully explore the said floors and you shouldn't starve to death. ;-) --> https://rogue-fable-iii.fandom.com/wiki/Meat
@wondernan: that's not a bug. You can walk on any dangerous terrain by holding the SHIFT key while clicking on the square you want to move on. The first time you encounter a dangerous terrain, an explaining pop-up appears so you probably missed it. ;-)
I usually hate upgrade and incremental games but I decided to give this one a chance because I like adventale's other games and it was one of my best decisions in this ending era of Kong! I felt like I was playing an innovative rogue-like, not just another incremental copypasta. I was quickly hooked, trying to make the best choices. The grind is not too high and the trial and error system not too punishing. Maybe you could refine a bit the UI and add new mechanisms if you want to expand the game. In any case, I was pleasantly surprised. :-)
I'm stuck on the victory screen after the 7th regular level, unable to enter the gauntlet. When I click on a card or hover over it, the squares where I could move are highlighted in white but as soon as I move the cursor off the card, the squares turn back to their normal state. I can't use the keyboard shortcuts either, but just on this screen (nice feature BTW). And I think the loading problem is because of my crappy laptop. :P
Thanks for the changes! Despite blight still being unbalanced in the last gauntlet levels, now I feel I have a chance. Actually, I've already beat G7 twice but the game crashed before I was awarded the badge and refuses to load since then. All I see is the blue background. I also think I encountered a bug where two pawns got promoted at the same time. I'll try to replicate it if the game loads again.
Thanks, and sorry about the load issues - not sure what might be happening, let me know if you figure anything out! Double promotions can sometimes happen in this version, so that's not necessarily a bug. If you move into the top row and Cantrip into a third pawn, then two promotion conditions are met at the same time.
The game doesn't load anymore for me. All I see is the white Unity logo and an empty loading bar on a greyed screen. Too bad because I'd really love to finish this nice game and discover the hardest levels!
@johnes4th: you need to activate a switch somewhere in the level to unlock this gate. Alternatively, you could blink yourself on the stairs if you have the adequate item.
@aaaaaaa00000: Midas isn't a simple fish but a goldfish, one of the most common aquarium fishes, so he's a great choice for this week of daily badges.
