I don''t normally review games in comments, but this one deserves it. The game play is fresh, inventive, and intuitive. The graphics are simple, but the connection from colors to the game play was beautiful and amazing and every level I was amazed at what the next style was. 5/5
If you are looking for a huge boost you can always try endless mode with hardcore on. Sure, you die in one hit but you get a BIG boost in gems. Also, the longer you last in endless mode, the more gems and points you are rewarded.
Not a bad game, but the fact that it is basically Pay-to-Win makes it a bad game. Got the badges, and I'm probably never coming back. Also, those challenges are bullshit, dropping your challenge level back to 1 after every loss, total PtW bullshit.
Only 7900 for killing Tesla? I caught several hundred coins and let through less than 10% of the skulls. This needs a better late game farming bonus. Like maybe if you reach tesla you can use all 1, 2, or 3 double coin boosters that you have available that way people stuck on tesla can get the farm they need. I'm sorry but ~7,000 each attempt is crap when you have upgrades costing more than 20,000. I mean charger level 7 costs over 60,000. I'm not gonna grind Tesla 9 times just to upgrade one thing once.
I like how the game froze and stopped working immediately after giving me the medium badge after the final boss fight. Really great how I didn't get to see the ending I worked for.
Sorceress Tank mode is the best. Max out the defense spell after putting one rank into your pheonix attack, the one that passively has a chance to heal you, max this out second. Then always equip stuff that reduces the damage you take, because the defense spell (max 50% damage reduction) is applied before the damage subtraction from equipment. Level 10 enemies doing 1 to 1 damage.
The only thing stopping me from rating 5/5 is that on early levels you can move blocks that aren't touching at the same time, but on later levels that feature is taken away making certain levels impossible to beat with 3 stars.
I would rate this game well, but when neither of the available guns to beat the first boss are actually any use against either him or the CONSTANT F-ING HORDE OF ZOMBIES WITH HIM! I don't really have fun when the first boss is impossible to beat without grinding.
Game was good, I loved all the pop culture references. (Especially the DOTA one!) My only issues are that even with near max upgrades I couldn't beat any level in 10 seconds or less, and I would love to see a shield charging bar so that I know when I can use my power attack instead of waiting.
So, I saw a lot of negative feedback, and I was still thinking of trying it. But a 7 minute load time, and the fact that it didn't work after it loaded I will never play this game. 0/5
So I like how 1 damage gets capped with strength, but a 20 damage attack plus 20 strength should do more than 40, especially when the hard core boss has over 400 HP and summons minions with extra health. Other than that my only issue is the Strength, Magic, Defense, and Health have a hard cap at 20. I can't fight the final boss with 120 HP when he can hit you for 90+.
My complaints are that the Nightmare is way too hard as the first enemy of Cave 14. Also only having one chance to fight the Demon Overseer without any kind of option or warning is bullshit. Make it a quest at least.
