Just so we're clear, we're piloting a diminutive aircraft in a vital battle against equally dimensionally-challenged alien craft, which are, for some reason, filled to brim with M&M's, right?
My guess is that in the next update, you will get charged for every step taken by your character, with a Free to Play option of waiting three weeks for a simple walk to the outhouse.
Borderline Zynga behaviour. Shame, game looks kind of fun too.
Considering that the machines' M.O. is limited to gracefully headbutting the door, a padded cover would solve all the problems (and look warm and fuzzy)
Has the potential to be a fun game, but currently has too many bugs / design overflaws:
-Grey enemies on grey background put an unnecessary strain to one's eyes. I honestly can't tell if that's a crack in the floor or a spider's web.
-It seems the hardest aspect of the game is to get the souls. I understand that each soul has a tiny shadow below it to tell you where exactly you must be to pick it up, but it's also insanely difficult to spot in the middle of combat, thus making soul collecting way harder than it should be.
-Some weapons / items need better descriptions. Example: Belt of Fire increases the damage of fire shards. I have no idea which weapon fires, or will fire them, so it makes forward planning kind of impossible.
-Level 4 is bugged.
-The special attack activated by the F key _should_ make the player immune to enemy attacks for its duration, otherwise it just does more harm then good with its relatively small range and the immobility it causes.
It is a good and addictive game, unfortunately plagued by some bugs and problems.
- "Anxious" and "Father to His Men" achiements do NOT work. I'm guessing the description on the latter is the culprit. Also, could use an in-game timer for the speed-run achievements. Not many of us can accurately track time from our head, you know.
- Enemies "phase" through palisades when they're built too close to their spawn point.
- Cannons built as Brits or Prussians also count towards the French artillery achievements.
- Interface too clumsy. Needs a drag select for multi unit upgrading, toggle-able fast mode.
- More sounds. The game feels like a beta release right now.
