Game concept was great, but to get perfect (0 lives lost) on some of the stages was downright infuriating. Especially on level 21, where it's simply luck of not sliding off the dang platforms. Another gripe is the restart button, and the mouse-key return. After 100 tries on a level it gets repetitious.
Great game. I definitely agree with Zandera on maxing out Alice Jeezebel. She's an absolute beast, provided that there's a few corpses lying around. I recommend upgrading archers max first, then steamrolling from there. For the final level, summoning Diablo might help a bunch for the initial wave, then just use Jeezebel and its easy from there. Pretty much, the game is Jeezebel and archers.
Additional tips for the final boss:
During the rocket phase, simply make a circular loop then go back to the bottom each time, there should always be a small sliver of space for you to navigate. The V shooting phase, follow Ninja's tips. Stay to the bottom and move left gently. The criss cross phase, I found little "diamonds" in the pattern, and simply stayed in the one third to the right, wouldn't get hit at all. Finally, the pulse phase, simply stay on the very right side of the screen, with the "Pulse" attack ability you'll do reduced damage, but you won't ever get hit. Very important to fully upgrade Pulse, HP, HP Regen, Allies, Speed, and Shield (essentially everything). Read Supreme Ninja's comment for his tips if mine don't help. Hope the tips helped!
Not sure (as others have mentioned) that all disciples should be lvl 25, but it will ruin the game. As Silberdache has mentioned, is it now possible to be 25/25/25? If so, then the entire balance of the cards is screwed up. As these "new" gen cards will be undoubtedly stronger.
Honestly, the protection from raiding should have a re haul. It is only based on the # of defenders killed from the attacking raider. If no one is killed, 35+ buildings smashed, still only 4 hours. If 10 are killed, no buildings smashed, it's 16 hours (roughly). I believe for every destroyed structure, an additional time is added. Watchtowers-1 hour for each, barricades/compound doors-0.5 hours, gates/spikes/wires-0.25 hours each. Trashing is simply a jerk move, and is typically done whenever no one is at home, allowing the defenders no chance to defend from jerks who trash others.
After beating the game, there are some comments I'd like to make. Searching is quite broken, but there are some ways to help it, for me, I did a 5 people with 3 shooting (improves survival the most) and 1 person with 3 search to get 80% survival and 89% loot (highest I've seen). Only search until you get all weapons, then take them all off. Until about day 30, one can use a Remington + Assault Rifle, 20 lower Springfield + SMG for an rather easy days. 30+ Use Machine Gun + M79. Morale (as I've seen) does nothing, as I had 0 morale after day 30. Also, I didn't have much of a problem with search survivals being killed until 5 of mine were killed in one mission, giving me -150 morale, that shouldn't happen. As other have said, a successful mission day should grant morale, and more survivors/supplies should give more morale. Otherwise the game was great.
Note: The Ancient God has 3 phases: First Phase many bullets fired in triangular wave pattern, with a big one aimed at you, simply circle and heal as necessary. 2nd Phase: big bullets aimed at you and small bullets surrounding him every so often, circle again and heal if needed. 3rd Phase: This one you can die easily, 3 bullets in a shotgun style, doing over 150 damage each. Simply strafe and if needed run away heal up and come back. Use the Ankh's of Resurrection to have an easy fight.
Game is not bad, but one complaint I have with it is the dead bodies. At some point, when you have over 100 kills, it becomes hard to distinguish between dead bodies/live ones. Would like an option for transparent bodies or just complete removal.
To get the hard badge: Play as Far East--Sieg and do quests and take over towns (optional) until you get to Nagoya. Don't attempt to take over the capital yet as they will murder you (and also the Far East guillotine skill (shown by the small fire and symbols) is based on armor, take off your armor and it's 0 damage ), and obtain 100 dex, Eclipse and all katana skills. Once this is done, conquer Izumo for the black samurais and first conquer the Desert Capital. Once conquered, purchase 30 stalkers and prepare win every capital from there (they are the best ranged troops) and remember take off armor for Far East capital. To win duels: use the skill guillotine as soon as they get to you, one-hit KO. Hope this helped :)
From the raiding reports, it seems protection time is based on survivors killed, if possible I would also like whenever a barricade (say a large) .5 hours get added per barricade destroyed to the protection, and watchtowers 1 hour. Frustrating to get my watchtowers and barricades broken, yet only 4 hours of protection whenever my survivors are not present.
Sometimes while raiding, you come upon a compound with no one defending it. Honestly this isn't a good thing for both the defender and the attacker. The attacker gets little to no exp, while being able to destroy whatever and the defender gets no chance. Adding to the already stupid defender AI this is a little unfair, as well as not useful for both sides.
About the tactics for raids, instead of implementing a level limit for raids, could there be a tactic ban? Ex: Space Raiders on any raid is junk, so could the summoner pull up a tactic bar and not allow a couple tactics? (Not saying like you can't add any tactics, maybe just not allow a couple). Or maybe have a voting system to which tactic can be removed? Otherwise great game, 5/5 with gorgeous graphics :)
Sigh...this game is a good one, but one thing really annoys me... it's really chance based. I had gotten literally 2 soul shrines, 2 gold ticket, 2 potions, with a level 3 sword and a level 3 breastplate, and had to face a dragon. Now that was quite dumb, because if even I had one more upgrade I might have won. Also would be nice to maybe paint the monster sign red or something to signify dragon. Still a great game overall...
Many good things in this game, although many things tedious as well. Such as dragging and dropping every single unit, no main menu button, or sell all button. Other than that, I thought this was a 5/5 game! Tip from deindian, Mysterious X of Death with immortal or saint of divine light means ~~ 1000+ Damage, 100% crit rate 100% Hit rate, and you can still have huge amounts of hp :) Have fun!
Love this game, everything was right, the slowing time to help, the aura collect and fire back, the overcharge, the damage. Everything was right ( this is my opinion ) except those lasers... Those things killed me, infact the This is as Hard as it Gets level, took me longer than the final level :/ On the bright side there is only like 3 levels with lasers, but when you are trying to get the badge it's very tedious... Wish there was another way, but Great Game still! Enjoyable and fun.
Some of the quests in my opinion should be re-ordered, when I did the enforcers, I thought the castle was the hardest, taking me 4 tries and based on luck (best gear and stats too for attacking and defending), while the "strong" vessel took me 2 hits and the ghost ship...1 hit (it had 30/100 hp not sure if that is intended) Great game, 5/5 :) (This is just a opinion)
Evolving a card like 25,25,25,25,25,25,25,25 will have the exact same effect as evolving like 25,1,1,1,1,1,1,1. So we suggest to do it the latter.
