I'm a little weary about escape games on this site (there's a very large number of spam/trash ones), but this one is actually pretty good. Kinda felt on par with a real-world room escape (no insane troll logic or moon logic puzzles). I'm glad I took a few minutes to play it instead of ignoring it like I do most of them.
@FarFromGruntled: Best playing order is release order (because of timeline and inside jokes). Which, I don't know off the top of my head, so I guess just check the date each one was published?
Six levels in, this feels like a more or less faithful version of the original. I wouldn't call it a remaster since the graphics are notably worse (they're clearly meant for a smaller screen than what I'm using), but that's really the only complaint I have so far. I'd say something about the Skulls if they were some kind of microtransaction, but given that there's no way to BUY more of them, they're not really an issue to me. It's nice to see a developer working to make sure their games will still be playable whenever flash finally kicks the bucket.
Ugh, I missed this one for a few days! Great as always, VasantJ. I think a couple of the questions in the investigation section were a bit trial and error, but overall, same quality as ever.
You know, I'll never understand all the people who come here, post nasty things about this series, and downvote all the comments that say they enjoy it. I mean, you're entitled to your opinions and all, but seriously, don't you have anything better to do? The bulk of us obviously like these games, and popping in to each new one to say "gam sux, too much reading" is.... well, they say insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. You guys who hate Medieval Cop could always just read the title, check the author's name, and then remember that you're not going to like it instead of trying to ruin our fun.
5 stars as always. It's interesting to see the blend of RPG maker sprites in a Unity 3D environment. It almost looks like something you'd see on the DS. That said, for future reference, during the close up examination sections (ie, the chimney), it might be nice to have some visual feedback when you click.
This is.... weird. If you were going for "Lovecraftian Bullet Hell", I think you captured that. I'm not sure that's a good thing though. The music is jarring and distracting, and something about the colors bothers me.
Well, it's an interesting start. I wish I had more time to mess around in it to see if I can find any bugs. Personally, I would add an option to pause automatically after a battle is won; it seems like it might be tedious for the game to just keep going in a really long dungeon.
bmart81: Start with Medieval Cop (the one without a sub-title), then play The True Monster. I'm pretty sure they're numbered correctly from there on out.
He's really fussy, he took nearly a year and half to pick out his outfit.
