Meh. Not enjoying it. There's no finesse involved. It's just more "select the most powerful thing you have and fire it blindly until you get lucky". Not to mention that the graphics and music are just annoying. 2/5
PROTIP: Flash rhythm games don't work. You don't have the budget for anything other than crappy bands. And the keyboard is not a t all conducive to the control style. 1/5
I love it. The puzzle system is original and extremely well done. It's challenging, but because it requires so much thought and planning, which is awesome. The storyline is engaging and interesting: it manages to be humorous at times and serious at others. All around well done. 5/5
I have been playing through the "challenges" and I really should elaborate my point further. The point of a challenge is that one is put in a seemingly impossible situation and has to find the way out of it. This is quite different from your method which consists of dropping players into situations that are literally impossible unless you randomly get the precise set of 10 cards needed to win. This is especially true of 15 as has been said before. I have frequently been powerless to stop the opponent from killing me in the first turn. Challenge mode gets a 1/5.
Meh. The gameplay isn't all that great. There is no challenge involved. It's entirely based on chance. The "challenges" are frustrating not because they're hard, but because it's entirely based on luck of the draw. And I haven't read any Lovecraft yet, so all of the background is lost on me. 2/5
Meh. It had potential, everything is fine artwise, gameplay-wise etc., except for two things. 1. I couldn't find the mute button ingame. 2. The sensitivity: it is completely awful. It's always either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. I'm either running into the salt walls, or missing the platform and falling to the pointless salt floor. It feels like my hand muscles are constantly tensed in a weird position. And in a platformer, this is key. So 2.5/5.
Oh. There's the mute function. Located in a menu that blurs together with the rest of the bad art. He keeps making it more obscure. Hate to break it to ya, Rudy, but we don't want fine control of the volume. I, at least just want a little speaker icon in the bottom corner that kills the awful racket without disrupting anything else I have running.
It's better than the fourth by virtue of its mutability. However, I'm glad I got the badges so I can put this one behind me. The gameplay isn't great, mostly mindless repetition of the same basic strategy. And to be quite honest the mindless repetition was more fun in the first two. And I don't really like the art style. 2/5
I love it. The gameplay is fun, and it's generally well executed. What really makes the game is the art, it's insanely adorable. The only problem is that you didn't fix the problem in the last game in which your cat gets stuck in recurring loops of obnoxious adorableness. My cat always escaped this time, but it took a minute and a half, and other comments say that they took longer. However, 4.5/5.
I am enjoying it. I haven't played the first much, so I don't know if it was so there, but the difficulty curve in this game is pretty steep. However, it's still a good game. The mechanics are sound and original. Nothing ridiculously complex, but a lot of strategy involved. I don't like the feel of the level select menu, it moves constantly which makes it kinda annoying to actually click what you're looking for. No complaints about the art, and I realized that I shouldn't comment on game music, since I rarely listen to it anyways :P. All in all, well done. 3.5/5
I can't stand it. Very poorly designed. The mechanics leave a lot to be desired, generally giving a shoddy experience. Lag increases this problem exponentially. The artwork also leaves much to be desired. 2/5
I liked it. Not a particularly original concept, but very well executed. The somewhat odd physics made a nice twist on the standard platformer, and gave the game a generally fun atmosphere. The artwork was also simplistic, but done well. Just a generally fun game. 4/5
Nope. Sorry, but another Epic Fail. You had it going in the first two games. They had some raw spamgame joy. Then you killed it by completely throwing the old battle system and upgrade system out the window. The artwork has developed from meh-ish to painful to look at. The music is annoying, repetitive, and THERE IS NO MUTE BUTTON THAT I CAN SEE. In general, it's not a good experience. And no mute is a killer. If there is one, it needs to be located in a better place. In short, the gameplay, music, and art have all gone downhill from the beginning. 1/5.
Great, creative concept. The gameplay is good. It just needs some touching up. One major problem is with your choice of mute key. When using the mouse to shoot, one defaults to WASD instead of arrows. And in that, I tend to press the S key out of habit, even if it doesn't do anything. I'd suggest moving it to M and moving the menu to ESC or space. Other than that, just needs some general visual touching up. 4/5
A truly deep statement about overcoming challenges. Well thought out and deep. Oh wait, just read your description. Never mind. The gameplay was mediocre, same with the art. 2/5 "Why not then?" you ask? BECAUSE IT IS WINNABLE. Unlike some other "just push right" games I could mention. *cough*immortall*cough*
