I've got a slow computer and while the levels themselves are quite playable, loading times are monstrously slow. Any idea on how to alleviate or fix that?

There is no challenge here. Once you get Restore Mana, you don't even need to think. Just use the strongest skills and Heal as needed. The game's kind of pretty, but it's all it has going for it.

Good job ripping graphics and gameplay from Zelda and then somehow making it bad.

Great, but a bit short and unvaried. It could use more enemy types - or at least, have them look different for the sake of variety - and different upgrades. The final boss was a spider tank, just bigger, which was kind of a disappointment.
Pretty, but boring as hell.

This became a lot easier when I realised melee monsters are completely useless in comparison to anything ranged.

The terrain affecting your shots is a great idea and the power-ups are brilliant. Especially the death ray, though it's hard to aim. After I got several of them, it was basically a net of death.

This would be more engaging if your main enemies weren't defeated by walking briskly in the other direction.
