I noticed a bug(?) in the combat system. Each country is seperated into seperate fields you need to conquer - and each time you take any of these fields to zero, you get 50% of the carried weapons (regardless of soldier deaths).
If you make your army strong enough, so that one field is conquered per year, then you can get 8*50% = 400% of the weapons you gave your army in the first place. Not sure, if it's supposed to be that way... though... it *is* rewarding, if you are able to totally stomp over their territory AND get stronger at the same time :D
I think the food meter is a bit bugged. The number in the main screen is going down, even though my foodproduction is green. I assume this either means that the stockpiled food rots away, or that new children require food to "spawn", too. Still, I'd like to see the amount I really need for my people, rather than being shown a positive number, while the stockpile dwindles...
Sorry for the double post, but I was exceeding the character limit...
I also noticed a bug - It can be reproduced simply by shooting down pirates while having the "list pirates" menu active. Every time you destroy one of their ships, their types will randomly switch. I mean, a Recon stays a Recon with the old stats, but might be labeled Blazer instead. Similarily the "boss" of a sector might suddenly appear as a Recon (which almost got me killed during a retreat once).
If you click the "list pirates" button, all the ships will be labeled correctly again (at least until the next one is downed) - I assume that there's some error with some sort of array, which is updated incorrectly upon enemy destruction.
Really great game! It got some touches of the "idle" genre, such as letting the ship auto-mine... Not sure if it's intentional, but I usually cleared the pirates, then let the ship auto-mine, clearing the cargo every now and then.
I must say that the shop system could be improved by... let's say a "sell all" - which is only available, if you are scrapping things for less profit. Typing in digits to sell a certain amount at the shop seems to be bugged - it's impossible to remove the initial "1", before another digit has been entered.
Randomized looting fighting experience. This game has definitely potential, and 7 days time is just really short. I agree with most others - the computer hacking process should be skipable, and the menu inside should display the text immediately (or maybe forced to appear upon clicking)
Definitely had fun on this one :)
