I hate that the whole screen goes black in between areas, it can really take the momentum out of gameplay if you're leveling characters. The bottom hero pane frame should be separated from the rest of the screen as a separate layer, just like all of the other screens in the game that go over top. Otherwise, this is a damn fine idler.
thought about buying God Power in game mostly because "eh i've been having fun playing maybe support the developer. . .". . .Prices are nuts, holy shit! Without bulk discounts it is essentially $5 to get 10 god power which is just about almost useless. . .You have to spend $22 give or take just to get enough god power to get a useful upgrade. . .Want the real meat and bones upgrade?. . $45!!!!
It's a decent idle game with a lot to do but the very relaxed language in tooltips, the chapter story and on menus is more than a little bit bothersome. It feels like this game was crafted between a partnership with a skilled coder and a 14 year old who failed English 101 in High School.
Sorry for the bad english. It is not my first language and while my english is good enough to understand most things and people can understand me just fine, it is worse compared to native speakers. If there is something written badly or you have trouble understanding it, feel free to write me a pm or a suggestion for improvement in the forum. Normally I do that.
Not sure why the BFAA has had pretty much a hard cap put into place on its power [the xp per second]. . .Was it because of the whole issue with being able to purchase it during blue box to make it super strong? It seems like changing how the formula reacts would be a much smarter solution.
Zaloran, while you may have "planned" for dps to be different depending on your path the upgrades themselves do not suggest this at all. If you look at the upgrades I think it isn't without reason to assume it would all stack. It should be made aware which upgrades do and which upgrades us the static number of the time that you upgrade. Until that point the whole system is FUBAR. . .it took me 18 rank ups before I realized things were wonky. . And now I'm sitting waiting for 75 quintillion to get my next rank up so that I can adjust accordingly next time.
You are right about that, Egnar. Things are not clear enough right now regarding upgrades. That's why we have something in mind to specify in the tooltip if the research will auto-update or not. This way, players will have more info to make their choices. More info soon. Thanks for the feedback :)
Update to my last comment: What this means is that the way the formula is taken into account it seems like it's using static numbers [which is a problem]. It should be 1 straight formula where if an upgrade is NOT active the number represented for that upgrade would be multipled by 1 [to keep it from increasing the damage]. This way everything will always be taken into account and upgrade order wouldn't matter.
Sarph, I've noticed this too - Huge differences in my RpS per game [sometimes lower in newer games] because of my upgrade order. . .Which is really stupid and poor game design. I wish this were fixed. Last game my AA Jeep was giving 160mil per jeep at the end with rank - This next rank it gives HALF of that!
Rank 18; pretty much hit a wall - Upgrades cost a ton and the first piece of the next rank is 26 quadrillion. I suppose this wouldn't be TOO bad but I haven't seen anything new in the last 2-3 ranks. There just aren't enough advanced research to support the end game which means the end game doesn't shine like the early game does. . .
I think the big problem with this game now is there is nothing to strive for in terms of gameplay. In regard to other idle games you typically reset very early on in order to be ABLE to get other buildings/skills to higher levels - I'm currently sitting on my FIRST reset with only 4 hero souls and am able to max out the final hero with no problem. Now I'm sitting here wondering, what is even the point of continuing if there is nothing pushing me further.
Shady that's just how it's supposed to work - But keep in mind that 20-25% dps increase applies to your NEW champions as well so it further increases your next level characters damage as well.
.07 is live on the REAL website, not sure if it is here or not - I'm not planning on refreshing/updating right now - Taking away the 2% world gold is a tad bit silly and just makes it less worth it to update - Instead of thinking this is a problem how about increase the difficulty of the End game so that you aren't expected to get to it until you've updated to have many Hero Souls.
I'll see it again as it is continuously met with positive response but no answer - The more "+" the better a chance of an answer. The world reset system should be more like a skill tree where "hero souls" are spent on global rewards used on the account for all future playthroughs
Some ideas:
1) % Cost decrease
2) % Dps Increase
3) %Gold gain
4) Gain hero "skills" at lower levels
5) Unlock new high level heros
6) Increase % damage increase of hero skills
7) Decrease amount of kills needed to advance between levels [which would go well with the amount increasing from 10 to higher numbers between each boss]
8) decrease Boss hp
etc, etc
Galaxy, the purpose of the lower level heroes being so costly to upgrade is to make it less easy to get 10 hero souls. If the cost scaled properly getting 10 hero souls on a first playthrough would be a joke - Though, I still think the system needs to be more of a skill tree.
Hero souls system is very underwhelming and uninspired - It's the same as every other idle games end game. I was hoping [and am still hoping] to see more of an RPG system with passive skills you choose in more of a skill tree - Anti Idle was YEARS ahead of its time by doing something similar and I'm surprised more idle games aren't going that route.
All idle games these days seem to have a "world reset" that makes you get just currency a little bit quicker. What I'd really like to see, and what I think would would really well in this RPG style game, is receiving some sort of "points" that you earn for resetting that go into some sort of full on skill tree. Such that you can make the game advance in several ways that you can choose, making skill timers faster, upgrades cheaper, gold % or dps %, etc, etc. . .I think it would help set this idle game apart.
Reseting is becoming such a friggen chore with all the upgrades and having to scroll down through them at this point - It's ruining the fun of the game!
Thank you for the suggestion. It is on the player suggestion list to consider and we'll see what happens.
