Orpheus and Eurydice is the myth this game is following. In quick summary before they're marrige Eurydice is biten by a snake and dies. Orpheus, (the worlds best musician btw) goes to hades to bring her back. many odd things later Hades is so heart broken he lets him take her, but as long as he doesn't look back until they're in the sun. He gets out, and then turns around to greet her, but when he turned she was still in the shadows of the cave, and she disappeared and he never saw her again...
