Yeah seriously, while I can fully accept that with the number of tower defence games out there it's difficult to create something that doesn't borrow from other games - this is just a shameless rip off of Kingdom Rush. It doesn't even improve on some of the issues KR has, all they have added are extra ways to grab money. Shameful.
I liked it but thought the final "the paper" challenge was rather unfriendly. The end is also somewhat of an anti-climax, as you don't even get a "well done"
I like it, but seriously wtf is up with the hydras? I could handle the robot being powerful, but the hydras just went and spat out two grim reapers each doing 99999 damage. One hitted both my party members before i could even move :S
Fun game, bit short, more story/upgrades would be nice. I'd also suggest changing the cash system slightly so you get a smaller amount of cash every time. Also one or two bugs, like i couldn't buy Armour IV, making the final boss quite a bit harder!
Very nice game, both fun and educational.
Few suggestions for improvements. It's near impossible to hit a strike even if you know exactly where a place is. I'd suggest trying to impliment some sort of zoom feature if you made a second. Perhaps give you 5 seconds to choose a area (1/6th of the world map?) then a further 10 secs to select the place on a blown up portion of the map.
But yeah 5/5
I like the concept but hate the game. It's probably just me, but i don't really enjoy playing it. It's also quite buggy. But still a decent well put together game, even if i don't enjoy it 3/5.
Very Interesting and original game, Would be nice if a Speed x# function could be added, as to be honest, on the 101 waves, without spamming like 5 lots of pirates at once, they weren't making it past the first turn of my maze. Also the spiked pit traps are REALLY overpowered, i'd suggest making them only 25% or something, as i was killing the final captains with the with ease, even though my cannon couldn't even touch his health bar. 5/5
Yeah the story is pretty impossible to follow, given you have to fight and read at the same time. I could live with that if the messages showed for more than 3 seconds, i think they'd be quite difficult to read even without the fighting in that small space of time. Also the font at the end of the game is terrible and near impossible to read. 3/5
Hmmm, 3/5, trouble was the catapault was so slow firing that you really had to rely on your troops. Which while a good thing gave it a very "hands off" feeling to me. It was also very annoying that the catapault got slower the more it upgraded.
I can't help but think it was DELIBERATELY made as like an old zelda game as possible. He admits himself it's like zelda. Why would you flame it for doing what it was supposed to do? He's in no way trying to claim it's a brand new idea, it's more of a tribute if anything.
