There were two things in particular I didn't like about this game. First, the ball moved too fast for the character to keep up with, albeit understandably granted he's swinging around an anchor. Second, there is no indicator about where the ball will fall should the ball rise above the top of the screen.
There is so much in this game that could be improved upon, but the storyline kinda irks me. Okay, you're a cat that wants a goldfish. The first thing on your mind is breaking and entering and committing first degree murder in someone's house. To do that, you need to scale a wall, dodging safes that fall from nowhere and birds that wish to kill you for some reason, and then clear a backyard filled with mines while some kid watches you use up ALL of your bombs to take out three landmines.. keep in mind this is a private home.. Yeah.. Oh and nice with the infinite bullets with the cat's nonexistent gun to murder 10 police officers.
Echoing Pizzapocket's comment, it should really go into more detail. I'm a complete newbie to Transformice and I don't know how to work a shaman in the slightest, let alone what all the spells can do. Maybe you can talk more about the roles of the mice are and emphasize less on how to grief people (trolling section).
The stage with the platforms heading upward is impossible to complete without bouncing off of the creatures in such a way that they assist you in propelling you upward. Failure to do this forces you to move to the far right to reset the stage, which can get pretty annoying for some people. On the positive side, I had no issues with movement, though it was kind of funny to stack a bunch of those baddies into one creature and stomp on them all at once.
Must be one deadly snowball fight if we're counting "kills". Mom: Son, what are you doing with that cannon? Son: Oh nothing, just playing snowball war with the other kids in the neighborhood.. for keeps. Mom: For keeps? What does that mean? Son: Winner keeps his lif- I mean his lunch. Mom: Oh, okay sweetie. Have fun.
Although I'm not quite clear on the relationship between the two of them, the way that I saw it, I think the girl was trying to put the guy out of her mind. I'm not sure about how people think, but I personally wouldn't want to have to remember something sad and traumatic. The memories of the boy eventually faded into gray, the good, the bad and all in between. But it's clear that the boy doesn't want the girl to remember him with pain and sadness, so he goes around bringing things possibly related to the two of them that hold some sentimental significance, probably as a reminder to focus not on his death but that there were colorful memories they shared when he lived. In the end, the girl is at peace and she could finally accept the interconnected sections of memory related to the boy.
It is possible to complete every level before most if not all of the enemies can take flight. The only strategy necessary to win is to not let the opponents hit the top of the screen, otherwise they will stay up there, leaving you unable to complete the level you are on. The AI does not seem to have any other incentive than to move all the way to the top; none of the enemies seem to want to even chase after you or pop your balloons. Maybe something the developer needs to look at.
This is an interesting and challenging game. I almost mistook it for tetris but this turned out to be pretty entertaining all the same. I started sweating a bit when there were probably five colors on the board and I'd be hoping that the right combination of colors and shapes would come out to let me keep going. The only thing I would change is that automatic next piece once the piece that's coming down touches something below it. There were a few times when I wanted to fill some two-space gaps but wasn't able to. Maybe I'm just pressing too slow, maybe not.
To be completely honest, this game doesn't make a lick of sense to me. Okay, you're shooting the zombies that are trying to get to you, yet are completely ignoring your defenseless friends, who also happen to be in your direct line of fire so if you're frantically trying to defend yourself from zombies, you might unload one shot too many and traumatize yourself to pure shock, allowing any and all zombies from any line to get to you. I can't honestly give this game a good score.
I was about to make some comment about how I played Death Worm some time back, but I actually bothered to read the description and updates. Imagine how people could avoid potential drama just by reading everything through. Anyway, nice take on the game. I actually appreciated the sandbox mode to rack up some huge points, even though it got super laggy for me when the worm's body (wings not included) took up literally half the screen.
That's deliberate, EndlessSora.
