definitely a 5/5 game. I'm not a huge fan of this new premium content trend in flash games, but this game does it in one of the least intrusive ways, even if it seems like it's on every screen. Also this is the most effective use of the madness interactive genre in a game I've seen other than madness interactive. Do people still play that? does that make me old?
I really like this game, The car handling feels odd, the cars to spin around their center point instead of near the rear wheels.
Things that would make this awesome:
more specialized weapons like the tank's gun
more car on car collision damage
tracks with turns that require the car's brakes to stay on the road
tighter turning before skidding with tire upgrades
guns with ammo not just temps
cars that have different accel/top speed ratios
a no weapons mode
Things that make the racing feel awkward:
The speed difference between the various chassis is too pronounced.
Too much ammo given to AI for mines and oil slicks.
Tire upgrades should be 10% more effective off road.
Things that seem out of balance:
The guns out-power the spikes by too much
Three guns, the guns seem to do too much damage, they shouldn't fully scale with more than one, like 1x/1.5x/1.75x damage instead of 1x/2x/3x
The better guns should be much heavier than the cheap guns.
Lopdo, one strategy for balancing turn order would be to change it every round, like making the person who went first one round go last the next (cycling) or randomizing it each round. Also in game modes where you choose a territory, it should auto skip combat and auto add your single reinforcement to speed the first round up.
Level 3 is based too much on luck in starting position, this shows poor game balance or an overly difficult AI. I don't think it's the AI because the first two levels were very easy.
I synced up all 4 win conditions to happen on the same day, and I got nothing special to show for it. It resolved as having me win with the constitution. also it should show your score before asking if you wish to continue.
the shape of each part in the shop should vary, trying to get the abilites you want and keep a good clean look to your ship is like pulling teeth... your enemies teeth... but really really slowly... I guess on the brightside that adds alot of continued play for us perfectionists.
This is an awesome game, I wish that the method for picking which of your ten items are active was more apparent. Also it would be good if in the yard window if you mouse over the ten icons on the bottom it highlighted the part corresponding to that ability.
does part position determine how easy it is to lose? I'm wondering if I should be protecting important abilites.
also if you're flying on the ground and can't pull off a trick, swing the bat a bunch. and for those who can't kill the boss use the bat to knock explosives back at them.
Also for anyone that thinks the game is way too slow early on check the setting menu for the "send next wave immediately" checkbox and then scroll down for the time factor option.
@ElvBB if you don't like the tower AI customize it, select the turret pull up the menu/message screen and use T to change target preference L to change lock or recheck each shot and D to switch through directional fire modes based on mouse position. These options come in very handy when you have railguns you want to shoot straight down a path.
I think the build speed is the spearmen's greatest advantage and could be solved by either
making each army have a different base unit that had the fast build speed.
or by somehow adding a build speed upgrade which honestly was what I thought the speed upgrade was the first time I loaded the game.
also as a correction to my other comment I noticed the 2 player battle i just hadn't looked very hard to read the font.
It makes you ancient, but don't worry about that. Ancient rhymes with... awesome... -ient.
