As others said, it's decent, but some mechanics could use some work.
However, dat music, though. Is it some kind of video game music rock version mashup? I distinctly hear parts of "dearly beloved" and "simple and clean" later in the song, and i swear the first part is familiar, possibly from something related to captain falcon from smash bros.
Level 24 is quickly reminding of the one thing I dislike most about bullet hell games. "Did you want to get those chasers off the screen by sticking close to the edge? Well, your mouse was half a pixel of the screen, so you can stay there and die instantly instead."
Although I like the concept, I'm not a big fan of this implementation. Obviously there's the innate problem of bad control with mice, which makes straight lines hard to draw, which further leads to being off balance or just barely too large. This could easily be solved by allowing us to do a connect the dots sort of thing, perhaps by holding down shift. Another annoyance is having to redraw things once you've figured out the solution. 21 comes to mind, where while it may be possible to get in one go, there's a good chance you'll end up doing it by steps, and having to redraw the shape is annoying before you add in the balance or size issues from above. Having an option to automatically redraw the last shape you made would be a godsend in some of the levels.
Really? I didn't get the badge, and you don't have a single stats page to file a report with. Not even so much as an awards screen. That's just lovely.
Nice game, but it's annoying to not get gold because you don't have enough of the right items left over. For example, on whelps have wings, I replace a bag of gold with a gate to get the new rank, even though it's the same number of items. Also need to know exactly how many items you need left over to get gold rank. 4/5
enjoyable game, but needs a next puzzle button, maybe some music, and most importantly, a symbol to mark which cells are empty, especially since the row/column highlighter works infrequently at best.
Decent game, but I can only give 3/5 because of some basic functionality issues. As mentioned, the lack of reset and cards remaining is annoying, and disabling menus whenever we get a sunset card just wastes times.
Actually, scratch my previous comment, just let us reassign buttons as we see fit, since I have multiple buttons that would be more comfortable to me if they were changed.
I like it, but if I may make a suggestion, I think it would be better to have the run be one of the shoulder buttons on the controller, instead of trying to hold down run and pressing jump with the same finger.
brotip for survival: The big guys that throw snowballs often stop just the right distance to create a stalemate between your towers and them, allowing you to fully heal and repair everything, then go and kill them. Sometimes, an axe snowman will also attack a structure slowly enough to allow you to this as well, albeit returning to heal the structure every few seconds.
Also, at 40, you unlock a Neo costume along with the final achievement.
One thing I don't like is that you automatically switch weapons when you collect ammo. It makes some of the stars hard when you need to may more attention to avoiding flowers than fighting enemies.
Try turning off the image effects :)
