All in all good, but there were a few things I disliked. I hated how powerups like Pacman and Matrix counld ruin your combo, as well as how 2 of the 3 super crystal powerups would kill your combo at any given time. Maybe only super crystal powerups could only spawn for the color of the currant combo? Also, health meters or some form of indicator of damage being dealt to bosses would be nice. Just my two cents. 4/5
This is great for an unfinished game. It's worthy of an overhaul. First and foremost, the weapon system needs repairs. The lack of any shooting ability after Sandstorm 3 is needed, as well as more upgrades. An autofire feature would also help. The controls are a bit choppy, which is fine except when picking up pickups. A larger hit area for pickup collection would be nice, and the upgrade points could probably be collected on enemy death, more like experience than items. More Burst Ring-like pickups would be nice, as well as the ability to use them at will instead of on pickup. This last one is my personal preference, but I prefer an upgrade system with branching options over a linear one without. An upgrade tree would in my opinion be a great addition to this game. Experience could be used to “buy” the ally ships. Oh, and one more note: more enemy types would be nice. Due to the incompletion, I'd give this game a 3/5,were you to finish it I’d give it a 5.
