I think level scaling is quite a bit off. Even after grinding most the game, I still made it to 25 at around level 20 and 50 at level 35. It becomes insanely easy after level 30 though.
Also, are the last 3-4 pages of the bestiary suppose to be empty? I noticed Bunches, Fury, and Bahamut aren't shown in it.
I think Natalie was my favorite for survival since she has probably the best sub weapon for clearing fields. Her main attack is nice too since it is one of the most powerful main attacks, seeks, and you don't have to be conscientiously aiming to get in front of the enemy to shoot. Think it is mostly the awesome sub weapon though :p
As for a boss killer, I went with Matt since you don't really need anything more than a straight shooter. His sub weapon charges fast enough and deals good damage vs bosses. Mostly his extra bomb tho which is really nice xD
Lmao Chaos Desert has ridiculous damage. 11 bolts for the attack, 5 for high, 5 for low, + 5 more for high and low with AB + burning + the damage one will one hit kill the Mysterious Hermit. I laughed and won every battle in about 5-6 rounds (silly ice mages that freeze you =/).
