Another game like this... not original, and the physics in this one aren't anything special. I especially thought it was silly the rain was represented by freaking balls... I kept thinking that real rain would have crept through all of my defenses with ease... Well, that's just a personal problem I have with this game.
Why doesn't anyone try to stop this freaking shark? Besides the fact that it'd make sense, it'd also make the game more exciting. Right now you're just jumping up and down and biting, that's it. I was constantly hoping a challenge would appear, but unfortunately not. 1.8/5
I didn't think the game was hard at all. Once I realized there were hints in the posters (which took me a while because I cleared the scrabble and dice games without them xD) I finished in less than five minutes. The only remotely hard part was the third time you have to direct the stickman, but even then it didn't take long to figure out almost all of it, except it still arrived at the last laser at the wrong timing. But you just need to perform one additional action to slow him down a bit... :P great game, the hints were really cool :D 4/5
Easy but fun game. Last level was cake, as long as you build enough collectors and start building blasters soon enough. I should check out this Perimeter game people keep mentioning, if this game is a ripoff of that game it's gotta be fun :P
@adam1111, obviously the game would be more fun if all the upgrades were unlocked from the start. It feels like I'm playing a demo version, and I can unlock pieces of the full version by spending hours playing the demo version... or by paying money. That wouldn't be so bad if the game was actually a lot better than other TDs, but I'd rather play a different TD with all upgrades available from the start instead. Also, I know that if I don't like this game I don't have to play it. I'm not trying to complain, I'm trying to give the creator of this game criticism they can use.
Well, what can I say... it's TD... again... I do like TD games, but isn't this just the same game, again? The only real difference is that it takes either a lot of time or a lot of money to be able to use all the towers, and that's hardly an improvement... 3/5, and agree with DarkCorner, they won't add badges simpy because you can easily beat the game by paying
Pretty fun, really easy though. I started experimenting with multicolor decks for the challenges, I'm glad that worked pretty well at least. The game has some bugs, and it should have had some qualities to differentiate it from MTG (like more colors or new card types, etc) But not bad.
This game gets a 1/5 from me, it's apparent that the maker didn't playtest it enough. Next time, either play it a couple hundred times more, or get some other people to play it a couple hundred times more, because a lot of this stuff could easily have been found if someone had bothered to look properly (especially the upgrade point bug...)
I don't usually use bombs in TD games, because I don't think it's much fun, but after reading some of the other comments I had to check it out. I wasn't disappointed. I was able to beat pretty much every map by simply dropping 5 super towers at the start of the game, centering them around a small part of the road, then sending in ALL WAVES AT ONCE, and then just carpet bombing the area around my super towers. After getting some of the upgrades, the bombs actually earn more money than they cost, so I just watched my money counter roll into the ten thousands while repeatedly pressing either Z-click-Z-click or X-click-X-click, depending on how much money I had.
The correctly named 'super tower' makes all the other towers useless, and because of the upgrade point bug, you can easily reach the point where you can drop 5 of them at the start of each battle. Besides that, the entire game consists of properly timing your N key presses to send in the next wave.
Also, the pong game was a bit jarring. I like pong, but I don't get why it's in this game. And the last level seriously made me blink. Bouncing a ball back and forth 100 times with no farther explanation isn't exactly what I enjoy doing in my spare time.
Just in case someone says 'If you don't like it, don't play it!' I assume the person who made this game wants to make games which as many people enjoy as possible. So I'm just trying to contribute. I'm not complaining that this person wasted my time by making me play this game, since I chose to play it myself... xD
tl;dr rating: 1.5/5
Okay, constructive critisism coming up:
This game... isn't very good. To me it seems like the person who made this just had an idea and went with it, without considering whether or not the player would actually enjoy it.
For the most part, this game was just 'click here, now here, now here, okay you win!' I realize ALL point-and-click games are basically like that, but in most of those games you actually feel like you have a reason to click where you click. Here it's just... Game start! Oh a pengiun (bird... thing... whatever)! Click. Another one! Click. Next level. A ball! Click.
On the levels where you actually had to figure out what it is you're supposed to be doing, it's painfully obvious exactly what you're supposed to do. It should have been more difficult, and then maybe you could have provided some sort of hints, just to maintain contact with the player. That might somewhat help to mitigate the whole 'Why am I playing this again?' feeling.
After Snapshot's comment, I've started wondering if any of the commenters realize that there IS a lock on ability? You can drag your bot to the target, and it'll start following after it...
@scourged: After finding the forest resting place, I got increases like that almost every time as well. I don't think it's a glitch, probably just the RNG falling out in our favor
I thought the game was fun :) And about the thing where you almost always miss: There are items in the game which improve your hit rate. At the end of the game I had a +65% hit chance because of my weapons, and I hardly ever miss anymore.
I do agree it should be tweaked, as sometimes I do notice that both me and my opponent go on missing streaks, which means effectively nothing happens at all. I think all of the hit rates should be increased. However, if you use the items I mentioned before the problem isn't nearly as notticable.
3.8/5, good game, but could still be improved. Most importantly, I'd like to be able to skip anything which makes you wait in this game (combat animations, the animations/increasing bars shown while resting, studying or working, etc) as it gets rather boring after a while.
It's a fun game, a bit too easy though... It doesn't take long to figure out which setups for bots work best for each mission, and since the opponent doesn't use any strategy (apparently) it doesn't take more than a little bit of tactics to win. All you really gotta do is to send your bots out in a pattern to 'capture' one of the enemy bots in between them, kill that one, then kill the other one (or two). Although, the most important thing is to build the best bots possible...
Still, the game is fun :)
