Ok so check this out: I went to go kick the boss and i accidentally hit the lowest possible thing and i said "oh crap, i wasted a turn" but he fell out onto an umbrella and started flying so then i said "maybe it's not a waste..." He then hits 2 more umbrellas IN A ROW and flies all the way to his house hitting two cars and a fire hydrant on the way and I only started playing five minutes before! True story, i swear

You should put the platforms closer together in the begining because you go too slow to reach the next platform even with double jump
