Word of warning: If you don't realize there's a "Sell a painting for $1" Achievement for a while, it becomes almost impossible to mash that "Reduce Price" button quick enough to drop the price before it sells. So maybe knock that one out early, folks! :)
Beat it on normal, but it's still a little too hard. Rampage triggers a little too often, and self-healing is cumbersome. Perhaps having a farm could heal 1 random tile by 1 hp per turn? Or the plant could? The deck I used was 5 Black Hole; 5 Build; 5 Build+; 5 Concuss; 5 Explosion; 5 Income; 5 Income+; 5 Secret Project...played Income/Income+ every time it was available, and focused on healing banks with Build/Build+ to keep income growing. Black Hole was the main damage source, with turrets chipping away, and minor help from Concuss. Used Secret Project on fallen banks or guns. Explosion only when I had a healthy building, and on the last turn to finish him off (I would have lost that turn - had 2 buildings, one with 1hp and one with 2hp). A fun game, but I think the "decks that could win" pool i too shallow for much playing.
Maybe if you use a skill that stops having an effect when the enemy dies (like Freeze or Curse) and that enemy dies, you can start the cooldown recovery right away? Especially when you get longer effects from skill upgrades, you can have a lot of extra wasted time watching those boxes fill before the percentage starts ticking up.
Excellent Game! A Nice twist on the original CW1 formula. I hate to admit it, but I went through the entire game without realizing I could move the ship. It wasn't until I was reading comments afterwards that I noticed it!
@missigno -- drag them to your character and you'll pop out of the cave. You'll start the next "New Quest" with any artifacts you had in your inventory (or equipped), any spells you had, and all the gem bonuses (like Strength +1 pickups) will stay applied to your character.
9334150 / 155 days - Final Score 60220...I avoided this game for a long time (it's been n the front page forever) and I don't know why...just never clicked it. I'm glad I finally did!
Wow...convoluted solution. But still only the second escape game I've done without a walkthrough (casual escape was the first).
A gentle hint for anyone stuck: Click an item, then click "about item" to investigate the item closer.
XDukeX -- They're Buccaneers, they do what they want. They're Chaotic Evil, attacking whoever they feel like with or without reason. I don't think that's a bug to be fixed.
Skills time will depend on it's actual active time, not on enemy in next update
