I played an older version of this game a while ago, glad to see it on Kongregate with some new rooms!

Hardcore mode needs to be unlocked, and then a Amorphous+ Icon shows up at the left side of the menu. Press the icon to toggle Hardcore.

It's a shame you can't change the control scheme, the arrow keys are a huge pain to maneuver with, would be MUCH easier with WASD.
