I feel quite proud. I broke it :) I now have immortal hamsters, slowly spinning through the air or running along the ground, ignoring spikes and the fact that they are on fire. Too bad I also can't leave the room or save.
Alright I've finally learned the secret of world domination! I think the game is great, except I would never, want to create a super massive company because there is no possible way to keep control of it all. I know that a part of this kind of game is keeping up with chaos, but I think a tooltip for what upgrades do (What is Tower Infrastructure even for?), and a button to cycle different workers would really help keep everything at peak efficiency and encourage longer play sessions. As far as the bugs I never lost my game, so it wasn't a big deal for me. Still great game!
Just for people's information. I think one of the causes for the no money/freeze bug are the turbo elevators. Every time I upgraded to turbo it killed my game, but deleting the elevator and just using the Deluxe Elevator fixed it!
Great little concept, I'm looking forward to what the finished version will end up being. It's been said before, but I do think having the buildings upgrade further and further instead of just growing in number would be a great tweak.
Just because a game makes you play for hours...and hours, doesn't mean it's worth the effort. I'm surprised at how ill-conceived the battle system is in this game. Every battle boils down to survive the first 15 seconds and running around the edges. The ridiculous enemy hp only shows how little thought was put into balancing and making the battles fun. The weapons are far too expensive, considering they shorten battles by a minute or two at best. I hope for the next one (if there is one) far more time is put into making the battles engaging versus the mind-numbing repetition of the first. 2/5
WOO! Number #1 Highscore! For all of ten minutes, I'm sure. This game is incredibly addictive probably thanks to it's simple premise. The only issue I have is that it doesn't increase in difficulty. Even though I got to the mid-40's I still only needed 10 squares to advance. I think it would be nice to incorporate some kind of difficulty increase other than a few more shapes. Maybe increase the number of boxes needed to advance every 10 completed levels or something. Still fantastic concept, that was executed wonderfully.
Here's an quick guide for the endings (1) DON'T GET THE CRYSTALS! You only need to build up endurance and get the ice boots and parachute. Then travel as far west as possible and climb back up. Grab the chest and kill the deity (2) Kill 10 creatures and get the teleport power from the green creature underground. To find him go underwater and find the cave entrance at the bottom left. Then travel west he's in a small alcove (3) Get all the crystals and travel up from the shrine.
Also you don't have to restart from scratch each time. Simply get ending 1 then reload go back and get ending 2, reload and get ending 3. It saves a good bit of time that way.
Crush the Castle 2 is a fun a little game with some interesting new toys to destroy the castles, but the people seem to be made of harden steel on some levels surviving roofs falling on them or being crushed between two columns. It makes a number of the levels more annoying than they should be and is the only reason I didn't completely breeze through all the castles. If a 3rd is made weaken the people and make the puzzles/castles more challenging. 3/5
There's a strange addictive-ness to the game and I hope that a sequel is a possibility. I like the way cannons are handled, but I wish the upgrades offered more of a difference than simply increasing firing speed (if attack power is increased there's no way to tell since all cannon kill instantly). I appreciate the inclusion of an endless mode, but the main campaign needs the difficulty boost. None of the stages offered any challenge.
I've noticed two bugs in my playing all having to do with the achievements. First I got the No Units Lost reward regardless of whether some of my soldiers died or not. Also my units never cost less. Even though I have the achievements that should reduce the cost of some of my units (e.g. Gardes) and the number has reduced in the UI, it still costs the full amount of gold when I actually make the purchase.
Easily one of the best TD games I've played. I actually like how the level system is set-up. Unlike the Penguin TD level up system, which is completely grinding for hours and hours to level, this one felt like a great balance and I never thought I had to level-up to win a level or even get a brilliant. In addition, even though there are only three different towers (six if you count the upgrades) I never wanted any other towers and certainly didn't feel like I needed another type of tower. The only criticism I have is that I beat every map with the undead towers. The other two towers really didn't serve any real purpose later on. I like the idea that only certain towers can be placed on different terrain, but if you make a sequel (and I hope you do) I would suggest making the other towers as important. Still fantastic game it gets my fifth 5/5 ever!
2/5 This game seems pointless. With no penalty for letting enemies pass there's no point in buying anything or doing anything but repairing the balloon. I just used the fort and pistol and finished in 43:05:00. The elevator defense game that this was based off of was much better.
